Our Product is an advancement on sports and technology. The Smart Ball is a football that contains a chip that identifies if and when the football crosses the End Zone or any other boundaries. The product can also identify the speed and power the Smart Ball is thrown. Not only that but it can also monitor how fast the player was running. This can help the coach monetize what he needs to make his players work on the most. This product runs off a chip placed in the center of the ball, like most technology it has to be charged. It's charging station is also the station you gather information from. When placed on the station, the station reads the balls current info and gathers them into a folder and sends it to the designated device. It can …show more content…

Our market would be mainly fixed towards sports fans who are really into football and have a shiny penny to spare or towards the NFL to help advance the future of sports in the long run and make the game easier and more fun to manage with the power of technology.
This product (the smart ball) will be entering the sporting business and will advance how the game is played and change those teeth gritting moments into the moments were it all comes down to the analysis of the machine and the referee.
The main risks of this product going into this kind of business is people's ability to trust the technology put in the ball do to some people saying technology can always be changed or altered. Which is still true and yes do to the fact that is technology it can be altered but there will still be a referee that backs up the ball or shoots down its analysis entirely and they continue the game more focused toward the
America’s newfound favorite pastime, football, came from a bizarre chain of events. Football started when a soccer player got fed up with just kicking the ball, so he picked up the ball and ran to the goal. His actions of picking up the ball and running with it fathered a new European sport, rugby, which was soon brought over to American shores, and was altered slightly, the shape of the ball and a few other small rules. The sport became organized into a league and produced the NFL(National Football League). The NFL had a slow beginning, but has picked up popularity, currently having a $9 billion yearly revenue.
Looking at the severity of injuries in the NFL in this day and age, and then looking at what the NFL does to protect players, the NFL is a business. Everything is politics. It has turned into who has the best stadium rather than who has the best players. The NFL is all about who has the best fans, not who has the best coach. The better fans you have, the more money you make, but the better coach you get, the more money you have to pay him. Growing up as a fan of the NFL, it saddens me to see the decline of the sport I love so much, but it is nearly inevitable. Soon enough, everyone in the NFL will be injured, and football will be over. The way things are going, players are dropping faster than we are gaining them. We only draft new players into the league once a...

When the discussion about how the United States is different from other countries comes up people are quick to say football, the American way, but more specifically the NFL. The NFL, which stands for National Football League, was birthed in 1922 after changing its name from the American Professional Football Association (NFL 2013). Since the birth of American football, fans and players raised the NFL to become the most popular sport worldwide. According to Isidore (2013), the NFL had a profit of $9.5 billion, the highest of all American professional sports. The profit, however, barely comes from sales produced by women merchandise.
I have choosen to use th XFL as a marketing vehicle for my energy/supplement bar. The XFL has been able to position itself as a fast paced hardcore football league. The nature of the leage would compliment the nature of my product in that people will assosiate my product with the action on the field. The league is focusing on a younger active audience and that is the same target market that I am looking to reach with my product. The high awareness and anticipation for the league makes this an ideal time for my product to be introduced to the market.

Over the years the Super Bowl has gotten more and more popular because of the more and more people wanting to watch the game both in person at the stadiums or at home on their televisions with friends and family. Because more people want to attend games, the owners and cities ar emaking stadiums bigger than ever before. The average stadium size nowadays sets somewhere around 70,000 whereas in the 60’s it was only around 50,000-60,000. According to a site called “Sportology” “American Football is the most popular sport in America”. This site also says that American football is the 9th popular sport in the world. It in fact has even surpassed the popularity of sports with the likes of Basketball, Baseball and Soccer. The players and owners have been hugely benefiting from this gaining popularity as well. With more people going to games the owner make more money and with the extra money the owners make that gives them more money to use on players. In some cases like Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones they have enough money to buy a whole stadium without having the city pay for anything. That helps everyone in a way because this way the city does not get taxed extra to pay for the stadium. Many players from pre-21st century say they

Football is a culture and within that culture is the desire to make money. In the 2014-2015 season, the NFL made $7.24 billion. Many dedicated fans travel to the stadium on a Sunday afternoon to experience the culture of football: the tailgate in the parking lot, the hundreds of dollars they pay to publicly display their favorite team’s gear, the front row seats to the game for them and their best buddy, the hotdogs and beer from the concussion stands. Many fans will participate in the NFL’s lifestyle every week. But the question is, do they really care about the actual sport or is it just the comradery and entertainment that it

To take that one step farther, now plays can be shown again in slow motion. This allows the plays to be analyzed for educational purposes for future stars of the game or watched again by referees to determine if the right call was
