Could you imagine a world without mass vaccinations? A world without mass vaccinations would be scary. People would be going around coughing, running fevers, and having all kinds of diseases. Today we have all kinds of vaccinations such has the small pox vaccination. Small pox has been around for a very long time and lots of people have been affected by it and lots of people have also died from it until the small pox vaccine was created. After it was created only a very few people have actually died from it or died from the vaccine itself. For every 1 million people 1,000 people had serious reactions they sometimes needed medical attention. Some people who received the vaccine got a life threatening side effect called postvaccinal encephalitis which is inflammation of the brain. Based on past treatment 1 and 2 people out of 1 million people died from a life threatening side effect caused by the vaccine. In American public education is free to all children but before you can sign him or her up for their first year of school they must have all there vaccinations up to date. Not all schools use to require vaccines but now all 50 states require all first year students to get there vaccine shots and the small pox vaccine is one of those they require. From 1796 to 1972 was the time span that the small pox vaccine was required for everybody. For every million people vaccinated in the past only about up to 52 people had life threatening disease reaction to the vaccine. Only two people died from the vaccine in the past. At the age of 12 years old a few vaccines are required for all kids too have. These vaccines includes Tetanus, Diphtheria toxoids, and acellular pertussis. Adults are also recommended to get some vaccines but these are not required to have. These vaccines are Pneumococcal PPV, Influenza, Hepatitis A and B, Inactivated Poliovirus, Measles mumps, Rubella, and
