Hinduism - Fager and Deyong

Unlike most other religions, Hinduism has no single founder, no single scripture, and no commonly agreed set of teachings.

Faith -Fager

Most Hindus believe in a Supreme God, whose qualities and forms are represented by the multitude of deities which emanate from him. So all of the gods are different forms of one god or being, but each form has a completely different looks and character. Hindus believe that existence is a constant cycle of birth, death, and rebirth, governed by Karma. Do Hindus go to any regular weekly or monthly group gatherings in which Hindus meet in a ceremony? Do you attend these meetings?

It depends on the beliefs of the individuals. A strong believer in Lord Shiva, for example would go to temple on Mondays. Suppose then on Tuesday a person would go to Lord Hanumans temple, Wednesdays for believers in Lord Ganesha, Thursday for strong believers in Vishnu, Friday for the Goddess (usually Durga), Saturday Lord Kaal Bhairavan (Lord of Time). In this way each person would go to temple when they are attached to this god. Thus when there is 330 million gods, then each person has an attachement to a particular god.

Is it necessary to go to temple for Hindu or can it be practiced some other place?

It is not necessary to go to temple; if the home has the idols, then pooja and worship can take place at home.

They also believe in Papal Infalibility. The idea that the pope is infallible wasn't believed until the 19th century during the increasingly popular secular ideas that swept Europe. The Vatican Council believed that Papal infallibility would would help the church in the rejection of these beliefs.
