Religion can be defined as “a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices agreed upon by a number of persons or sects,” (Dictionary.com). The similarities between the Christian Jesus and Muslim Muhammad clearly show that both religions have an important, strong leading figure that spread the ideas of their faith to create a huge following base. Also, despite conflict between Muslims and Christian’s it is easy to see the similarities between them, and how they both have committed violent acts for faith despite their beliefs on the subject. Lastly, Christianity and Islam both originated from Judaism, sharing most of their fundamental beliefs with the religion along with the belief that Jerusalem is their holy land. Underneath all the technicalities and different interpretations, Christianity and Islam are two very similar religions that worship the same god and come from the same area. The different interpretations of that god are what makes them different.
