Robin Goldwyn, a writer for Barrons.com, stated that,” Annual U.S. school-uniform sales total an estimated $1 billion.”School uniforms are uniforms or certain clothes people have to where at specific schools. Usually most of the time private schools are the ones to use school uniforms. School uniforms are also most likely or most of the time more formal and are nice attire. Other schools like more public schools has a dress code and a set of rules on what requirement the kids clothing every day should meet. This also allow the kids to where anything they would like and anything they have available that meets the specific requirements. School uniforms should not be used because of effects on bullying, education, and costs.

This quote shows this because the quote states and explains how school uniforms are a distraction from helping the goal of schools and also helping the learning of the students. Which if these do not help students learn but distract them, then they should definitely not be used. Therefore, school uniforms have no effect on students academics and learning.

Worthington Christian Schools, an American private secondary school, expressed that, “Without school uniform policies, parents may feel pressure to compete with other families by purchasing fashionable clothes for their children.” In contrast, it has been proven that cost is a major effect on all students and their families.

But like in this case if families spend too much on money on schools and school clothes then it cuts the ability of of being able to afford other items that the families need and want. Which if it comes to that situation then the families and their students will have no choice but to go to a different school or change their lifestyle so they can buy the materials they need instead of school clothes which they do not need. So, this example well proves that school uniforms can majorly affect costs. In summary, school uniforms also affect cost as they do affect other important factors of students and their families lives.
