If you make people wear uniforms that they don't like that number will go up. You could put it as saving lives when choosing your school to wear uniforms. I understand that African schools need them, but not in parts of the USA. School uniforms have their benefits, however will never balance out with the cons. That's why only 16% of schools in america have uniforms. A school uniform policy should not be required because it takes away your freedom of expression and it costs a lot of money. Insecurity is a massive problem in today's world especially in middle school and high school. Forcing your students to wear unnecessary uniforms will take some people's insecurity to a whole other level. Your clothes are the ones that you buy or pick out, in some cases that's how people express their feelings. If you take away that then you take away their style, and there start acting like a person there not. You know what they say “if you look good, you feel good”. The average cost of school uniforms are 249 dollars. Most if all private schools make their students wear uniforms, and the average price of a private school is 13,000 per year. Plus, you can't just have one school uniform, what happens if you spill something on it or lost it, well that's another 249 bucks. Not saying you have to be rich, but you have to have money. You would have other problems too, like not getting the sizes right or people refusing to wear it. It will spark more problems with money and style, including some teacher confusing kids with others, because everyone is wearing the same thing.
