Did you know that 31.2 Billion pounds of garbage are dumped into landfills each day? Yep, it is insane how many people do not recycle. Now, you might think everyone can recycle because it is free, But you thought wrong. I will give you these strong reasons on why recycling should be free everywhere! This is my opinion. I will talk about how not recycling is very unbeneficial, Where and why does it cost, and why people should recycle.
Not recycling can be and is very unbeneficial and can lead to things like this. 2 tons of recyclable things are not recycled.Instead they are sent to landfills. Those things include paper, plastic, and more. Plastic can be in those landfills for 550 years. So, if anybody throws away a piece of plastic it might

Most times it cost for tax or service. In Hamilton, Ohio, there is free recycling provided by the city. It is free in hamilton because they think recycling is beneficial. I agree with Hamilton, the best city ever. One place it cost is Hanover, Ohio. In my opinion it is very unnessercery for recycling to cost.
One more question left. Why does it matter. The most important one at all. If I did not mention why it matters I will have no reasons to backup my opinion. It's like a answer in math without showing your work. Waste impacts everybody, it impact you, and it even impacts everybody you know. The landfills are already really full.In 10 years a lot of landfills will be filed.31.2 BILLION pounds of trash is put into those landfills each day.
Recycling is very benificial. It saves us.Not recycling can be very unbenificial. It cost in a lot of places. It really only cost for taxes. It really does matter. In the year 2028 a lot of our landfills might be filled.Recycling can help that a little bit.Turn to rycling. It is the best option.Do you really want your future self to have to have this treacherous, full of trash earth.Think about it now.Help save the world, by
Let 's take a look at the points from the article 10 ways recycling hurts the environment, by Andrew Handley. The number one point is that recycling gives false promises, but how? Andrew Handley says, “The biggest reason recycling hurts the environment doesn’t have anything to do with the technical process—it’s the mindset it gives people. Recycling’s main impact is to convince us that it’s okay to be wasteful in other areas, because we make up for it through recycling. It encourages consumption, rather than pointing out ways to reduce consumption overall.” Honestly, the biggest reason people don 't recycle is because they are plain lazy, there is no way to sugar-coat that. People don 't want to take the extra 10 seconds it would take to get another bag for the cans or bottles. They just don 't care.
Recycling is the practice of reusing old products to create knew ones in order to essentially “re use” them. In theory, this process is supposed to work perfectly, but because of other factors it doesn’t. The whole idea of recycling is supposed to lead, eventually, to a world where everything will be recycled and used over and over again; thus, no more mining, cutting down tress, and other jobs that require people to do some sort of labor in order to create a certain type of object. The process of recycling would in due time, end these types of labor. Recycling is not entirely a good thing because not everyone does, it requires unnecessary funds, and it takes away many jobs.
I am not a big earth first person but I do believe in recycling because I work at a local recycling center and I think recycling is a good thing. In fact I think everyone should recycle to make the earth a better place as a whole. A few good reasons why recycling is a good this is, the more people recycle, the less room is filled in landfills. Also, when people recycle they are reusing materials, therefore saving resources. Another good reason is that when you recycle often times you get paid back the C.R.V. that you already paid for in the grocery store.
a. Firstly, we are not in danger of running out of landfill space. According to Jay Lehr PhD, in the April issue of public policy magazine, Intellectual Ammunition, ?all the garbage we will generate in the next 10 centuries will require less than 35 square miles to a height of only 300 feet.? Also, according to Daniel Benjamin of PERC Reports, ?the United States has more landfill space then ever before.?
Recycling is one of the easiest ways to save energy for all the living things on Earth. Recycling save energy because using recyclable items that are not recycled can take a lot of energy. Recycling often saves energy because the products being recycled usually require much less processing to turn them into usable materials. Sometimes recycling can also save energy for goods which is
Many people believe that we should not recycle anymore, but this is not the case. We, the people of the world, need to continue to recycle because we do not want our children to grow up in a world where there are no certain species of animals due to recycling failures. We also do not want our children to grow up thinking that it is okay that they throw their garbage on the ground, and not have to pick it up. We need to teach our children that they need to take care of the earth that they are living on, because they only get one. Recycling is one of the most beneficial environmental issues that we have here on this earth. Recycling saves energy, limits pollution and supports several environmental factors of the economy. “In 2003, the savings from recycling 54 billion aluminum cans exceeded the energy equivalent of 15 million barrels of crude oil- or the amount of gas the U.S. uses in one day,” according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA estimates that 200 million gallons of used oil are not disposed of properly, and if we were to dispose the oil properly then we could keep the oil from polluting the ground and the fresh water source. According to E. Takatori, “… While on-going societal regulation treats material recycling as the dominant cycle, the properties of recycled plastic remain the most port
Dealing with waste can be very difficult to do when there are 7 billion people in the world and out of all these people America supports about 365 million of those people. According to an article on Forbes magazine the United States contributes about thirty percent of the world’s waste, places like Japan also are contribute quite a bit of recyclable waste. Recyclable waste is just that wasting there are many things that people use and throw away on a daily bases that could be recycled, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, steel cans, tin cans, card board glass and etc. This list could go on for quite some time so let’s put the foot down and talk about recycling.
One reason is that recycling can help save the earth from waste and trash build-up. For example, fifty percent of roofing and construction on houses is made from recycled aluminum cans. Using recycled materials to produce new products costs less money and less energy than new materials. It can also save valuable landfill space. People have trash everyday. Pretty much anything is recyclable. If you throw them away, it?s a waste of natural resources, a waste of energy, and a waste of money. Instead people should take the time collect these things and put some effort into helping in the world we live in.
Recycled material can be bought and sold at a cheaper rate. According to All-recycle-facts.com, aluminum cost twice as much new as it does recycled but people don’t know about recycled items so they spend extra money and take away new resources instead of using old
The third reason recycling is bad is because it's unsafe and unhygienic. “Places where all sorts of waste is dumped are conductive for debris formation and spread of disease and other dangers caused by harmful chemicals and waste.” (www.conserve-energy-future.com) It can cause widespread pollution and is harmful for dedicated people who recycle such products. People may believe it safe because it can help save some of the fifty thousand trees that are sacrificed every week to produce Sunday newspapers in the United States. This is the third reason recycling is
Recycling could save the earth money because statistics show that during waste disposal there is approximately “294,950 annual tons of paper, metal, plastic and glass that is being thrown away”. These statistics come from San Francisco Diversion and Disposal in 2012. “Recycling is often efficient because of limits imposed by hazardous behavior.” (Singh) Others may say recycling is not good because some people do not want to reuse something someone they don’t know about has used before. What they don’t know is recycling is the best thing for them because they will not get charge by the government as much because during waste disposal someone is paying for the traveling expenses for the waste. One main benefit of recycling is it saves the earth money. “On average, NIH receives the following for the value of recyclables on a monthly basis... This equates to nearly $90,000 per year for the value of these recyclables. This money helps offset the costs of the recycling program.” (Benefits of Recycling) Here they are basically saying with recycling the earth could save $90,000. Two ways one way is because they collected $90,000 worth of recyclable items this can help by not using so much energy to put off bad pollution and the other way is the government or humans don’t have to pay so much for them to make brand new items to be used for whatever people
Preserving the environment is very important. One way that would be possible is by recycling. Recycling is the recovery and reprocessing of waste materials for use in new products. There are important environmental and economic benefits connected with recycling. Common materials that are recycled consist of aluminum cans, glass, paper, wood, and plastic (“Recycling”). Cleveland, Ohio joined the ranks of requiring recycling and also fines the homeowners for not disposing of waste correctly or leaving cans out too early or too long (McElroy 1). Michele McCay says that recycling is one of the easiest, most tangible ways of taking action for the planet (par. 1). If that is the case, why is it not required in all states? Recycling should be mandatory because it saves natural resources, it conserves energy, and it reduces pollution.
I studied in a green friendly school in Taiwan between 2003 and 2006 so I couldn’t help but be conscious of recycling problems. People who live in the 21st century more or less know the importance of recycling. Even though the awareness of environmental issues has taken its root in people’s minds, I am surprised by the carelessness of household recycle system in London this megacity.
While walking through the park last Sunday, I observed a shocking scene. There were two cans: one for recycling and one for trash. The recycling receptacle had only an empty Dr. Pepper can and a few used Ozarka water bottles. On the other hand, the trash can had a plethora of half eaten meals, wrappers, banana peels and disgustingly even bottles, cans, newspapers and plastics that could have been recycled. Because people do not understand or do not care to understand about conserving our resources, many reusable items are being put in landfills when recycling these items could help save the environment. People should know the negative impact of throwing away a water bottle or newspaper, purchasing meat from the grocery store or consuming gasoline has on the environment, and many do not. By informing society about how their decisions affect the environment, we can help save our planet and change our attitude toward the land we live on, the water we drink and the air we breathe” and truly show respect for the stuff that we depend on.
In the 1870’s, plastic was discovered in the United States when John Wesley Hyatt was trying to create a different material to make billiard balls (Manrich, 3). Little did he know it would majorly evolve into material we use everyday. However, plastics are now taking over our landfills. The average American throws away one-hundred and eighty-five pounds of plastic a year (Popescu, 121). The answer to decrease this statistic is easy: recycling. I believe that recycling will help eliminate littering and the growth of landfills, while also creating jobs for the unemployed. Not only does recycling plastic help eliminate littering, but also reuses the plastic so there is not a production of additional unneeded plastics. The
