Why Should People Have a College Education? College education is important for everybody because it can leads to self-improvements. Firstly, people can actually focus on their particular majors and take courses given by professional instructors. This kind of education would enhance people’s abilities in the majors that they are interested in, and it would certainly help them in their future field of study. Moreover, it is also helpful for people to have deeper reorganization of the society and promote their social reputation. First, people who have college degree can earn more than those who do not have college education. According to statistics, Americans who with bachelor degree can get paid 98 percent higher per hour than people without a college degree. (David Leonhardt, 2014)Although people may have to spend some money into college in order to obtain the college degree, the distinction of salary rate conclusively proves that the whole investment is worthy. Second, compare to high school graduates, college graduates are more easily to be employed after their graduation. In 2013, the unemployment rate of high school graduates was about twice higher than the unemployment rate of college graduates. (National Center for Education Statistics, 2013) This data demonstrate once again how college can grant people more opportunities to get employed. Finally, the college education can also make people wealthy spiritually; it can not only expand people’s mind, but also develop people’s ability of wondering.
