There are multiple issues in the world that refer to discrimination such as racism towards women, elderly, and disabled people and abortion. Many people judge others or think that those who are different are weaker and cannot defend themselves; however, the people being judged are the equal to those who judge them. According to the Golden Rule, people should treat others equally. The Golden Rule says, "Treat others the way you want to be treated." On the other side of the argument, many people believe that women are less important then men and that they should not be allowed to have jobs or have the same rights as men do. …show more content…

They think that they are putting them out of their misery. Many people treat others with respect and kindness; others treat people with contempt. Numerous people despise women, people of different races other then theirs, and mentally challenged people. "Anyone who sees and paints a sky green and fields blue ought to be sterilized." (Adolf Hitler) In the Holocaust, Adolf Hitler started eliminating disabled people and Jews. They also killed them in very torturous ways such as gas chambers or shot them. They were placed in harsh conditions to live in. In the book called Stuck in Neutral written by Terry Trueman, there is a character named Shawn McDaniel. He has cerebral palsy. He thinks that his dad is planning to kill him. Even if Shawn does want to die he has no day in it. But what if they do not want to die?
