To redeem themselves from the shame adults would say Internet pornography would be considered freedom of speech, but listed in that 1st amendment freedom of speech is evident but it has limitations. Internet pornography also affects adult addicts. It could get out of hand or to the point where it could make an impact on others where someone could get raped or infected with a disease. America is on the brink of banning Internet pornography, in fact down did ban pornography, but most individuals still entertain themselves with these sites. I intend to prove that children and adults impact and also the government 's will to ban online pornography.
Internet pornography have become a real problem because it has rated r visual to children of all ages. No one wants there child coming home to them saying "mommy, guess what I saw on John 's computer a woman with no clothes." That would 've devastating and quite embarrassing to hear that your child had seen porn. And at that early age many thighs could happen if a child is exposed to such things. One thing would be a sex addict constantly watching naked women on a computer can make them want to do it in real life nonstop. Multiple sex partners may be involved, dealing, and with multiple sex partners something call STD 'S may come into play. Another reason children shouldn 't be entertained with internet pornography would be as they get older they may partake in illegal activities such as RAPE. Watching porn videos may fen for real life activity but when someone say no to an individual and the individual doesn 't take no for an answer that is when rapist engage with what they do best. In turn would cause harm to someone whether it be death, disease pregnant. Since children have become more ...

... of church and state which caught other conservative’s attention. If they do decide to ban pornography, will there still be it? Many women do not engage in pornography because they are forced, they are engaged by their own will. Many people I know who degrade themselves because they feel they could wean men. But what happens if they wean the wrong man?
Putting a ban and or controlling Internet pornography is best. Women will not have to complain why men treat them indifferent, and called them other names besides their birth name. Children would not have to grow up and catch their mothers dancing naked online. Controlling will prevent rape Crime, many men will not go out and "get it" from women that doesn 't want it. It would also prevent sex addict 's addiction to sex. The debate on Internet pornography further goes on, but it actually ending will not be prevalent.
In her essay “Let’s Put Pornography Back in the Closet,” Susan Brownmiller, a prominent feminist activist, argues that pornography should not be protected under the First Amendment (59). Her position is based on the belief that pornography is degrading and abusive towards women (Brownmiller 59). She introduces the reader to the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment, and explains how it relates to her beliefs on censoring pornographic material (Brownmiller 58). In addition, she provides examples of First Amendment controversies such as Miller v. California and James Joyce’s Ulysses to explain how the law created a system to define pornographic material (Brownmiller 58). She described the system that used a three-part test as confusing (Brownmiller 58). Regardless of whether or not the First Amendment was intended to protect obscenities, she and many others believe that the legislatures should have the final say in the decision of creating and publishing pornography (Brownmiller 60).
Pornography is considered by many to be an unwelcome and distasteful part of our society. However, I argue that it is necessary to voice the unpopular viewpoints, under the Constitution. This paper is a defense of pornography as a constitutional right of free expression, under the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights. In illustrating this argument, I will first define pornography as a concept, and then address central arguments in favor of pornography remaining legal and relatively unregulated – such as the development of the pornography debate throughout modern US law, and how activist groups address the censorship of adult entertainment.
America, the ideal place for freedom, is home to a vast amount of liberties and rights that many countries do not acquire. In this country, citizens have the freedom to practice any religion they desire, live wherever they want to live, and love whoever they want to love. In this country, citizens have the right to choose any career, ranging from school teacher to politician and the liberty to reproduce as many children as they would like and speak their minds freely. In this country, with one click of a button, citizens have the ability to view explicit, videotaped, sexual activity for no cost at all. Pornography or the pornographic industry is one of America’s most profitable industries, making billions of dollars annually. Despite pornography’s
Since their founding, computers and the Internet have become a tool that nearly every man, woman, and child in the World have been able to use. E-mail has become one of the Worlds fastest growing ways of communication and the Internet has become one, if not the largest source of information available today. You can find just about everything you wanted to know about anything with the stroke of a few keys on the keyboard. However, along with these positive aspects of the Internet, there lies much negativity surrounding the internet and its use. Access to teenage pornography, bestiality, brutal murder pictures, XXX stories, and other un-ethical sites is extremely easy. In fact, the pornography industry has grown 63% since the Internet was first available for use.(Bishop 91) It is one of the leading industries on the Internet and has become quite a controversy in the United States. Censorship of such sites has done very little due to the fact that most parents feel that these sites are not accessed by their children. We have currently found no solution that has worked and many government officials see the problem only getting worse. Pornography on the Internet though should not be banned, but rather better controlled and censored due to its availability and graphic nature.
When deliberating over whether access to pornography should be prohibited, four areas of contention must be elaborated upon and evaluated critically to provide a sensible basis on which a judgement can be made. Firstly, it must be concluded whether pornography can be classed as a form of speech, and whether it enjoys the same protections as art and literature under the principle. Secondly, works such as those of Catherine MacKinnon can be drawn upon to offer a feminist perspective of the effects of pornography on the treatment of women within modern democratic society. Moreover, the principles of Devlin and Feinberg offer relevant acumen regarding the criminalisation of pornographic media. Overall, this essay will argue that whilst access to pornography should not be entirely prohibited; publications that depict ‘extreme’ situations should be subject to regulation and restriction.
This nation has several issues over which most people's minds freeze up, with the disastrous drug war probably leading the list. I don't share a feeling of squeamishness and horror when it comes to drugs: What I don't want, I don't take, it's that simple. And I don't spend time fretting that my neighbors might be toking, or snorting, in the privacy of their homes.

...pornography with such ease, parents are going to have to figure out a way to keep their children off these sites. The only other option is coming home and finding them looking at something they shouldn't. Because some children, given the opportunity, are going to seek out these sites, even if you ask them not to. After all, children will be children.
Pornography viewed as a sin and source of revolting evil to most. They use it to have a source in which all sex crimes, the decline of sexual desire in married men, and a long list of other sexual problems that are present. Then there is my view where I see it as not all evil or all good but rather much like the yin and yang sign yang the black representing good and yin the white representing evil neither one is completely good or evil but has a mix of the latter mixed in. Finally there are people who believe that pornography can be used to fix martial problems and connect with other that have similar interests. This side believes that porn has beneficial properties if the children are educated rather than protected from it. Therefore my thesis is as such if children are educated they are less likely to use or view porn as a sinful and harmful substance; while the others who are shielded from its presence will be oblivious to the problems it can cause and may abuse it but this can be said about either side it really comes down to the individual that is what I believe.
...raising our voices and using freedom of speech will make more of a difference. I also agree with Mill because though Mackinnon talks about how women are oppressed because of porn, I am sure there are a number of other causes that lead to oppression, not just porn. For instance, if porn was to be censored, I doubt that would immediate abolish rape cases and sexism. I feel like if we let the government control what we watch, we, as a society, will let the government control our lives. We may even lose the simplest privileges and rights we have as individuals. I believe porn is not immoral because, again, it does not cause harm to individuals in society, besides the individual watching it their self. Many people may think that people should not spend money or time on porn but the opinions of the majority should never control the individuals right to choose.
Pornography on the Internet is affordable, available, and abundant. One can easily find websites for viewing this type of material. Although the reports on the actual number of these sites vary, the availability and accessibility of the sites are rarely disputed. Some critics of this form of expression or form of obscenity believe that the pornography itself can cause pornography addictions. Internet pornography does not produce addicts, but rather the propensity to be a pornography addict already exists within individuals by the time they reach adulthood and sustains itself within those individuals.
IF viewed by a sexually immature adolescent, it can be harmful as it displays unrealistic standards for sex, improper to no contraception use and displays a relaxed attitude of casual sex and sex for pleasure. If pornography is the only sexual education a young person is receiving, it can be said that the young person is in trouble in terms of their sexual health. This, however, is not the fault of pornography itself. Pornography is a stimulating and arousing activity meant for sexual release. A child who views pornography is not interpreting it the same way an adult is and may perceive it as real where an adult would not. It is the fault of parents not monitoring internet use, having serious discussions with their children about sexual safety and the school systems health education program that these inconsistencies in what adolescents see and experience. With proper sex education, adolescents and even adults can make appropriate judgments of pornography for what it is, entertainment, rather than an education. This can lead into the idea of pornography itself causing sexual violence. With the evidence provided, it seems that pornography can create the implication that rape myths are true, victims should be blamed, and women are powerless, however it is the few that go beyond this and act upon these urges that are the problem. An average person has the required inhibitions to stop themselves from committing sexual violence, even if they have warped views of blame for the incident. The view that pornography perpetrates sexual crimes should not be the definitive perception as many functioning adults can consume pornography with out their lives being completely destroyed as those against pornography would have someone believe. As with all things, people will abuse and become addicted. It is not the item 's fault itself, but rather the amount, improper education and the individual
Pornography on the Internet creates many unwanted vices in today's society. Internet pornography should have stricter laws and regulations or even better, pornography should be banned from the Internet.
In recent years, pornography has established itself as perhaps the most controversial topic arising out of the use of the Internet. The easy availability of this type of sexually explicit material has caused a panic among government officials, family groups, religious groups and law enforcement bodies and this panic has been perpetuated in the media.
To conclude this report pornographic material is hurting America but not in a big way and it is bringing us down as a society and not really being great role Models to our kids. Its might be a good thing to have and to some people might be A bad thing to someone. Thank you for reading my report.
