It was a sunny day in the town of Toady. The sun was shining and there were no clouds in the sky. “ I thought so” said Garrot with triumph. Aleese glared at Garrot as she remained silent so he knew that she didn’t want to hear anymore. As they pulled up into the parking lot, Garrot rambled on about how no one has ever went past the core, or how the crust protects us from the heat of the inside of the earth. The Sanchez family got out their blankets and laid them out on the blazing sand and set up their umbrellas. As they set up their little spot on the beach, Garrot looked at the sea water with disgust.”Does anybody even know what’s in that sea water? All the sea animals waste is in that! No way I’m going in there.” As Garrot and Aleese had an argument about why the sea was good or bad, the parents looked at each other and sighed. “This is never gonna end,” said Cadable, the cheapskate father. “They won’t always fight like this right?” “I dunno Honey” said Shirley. Suddenly, Garrot and Aleese stopped fighting to gaze at the sea. “Look Honey! They stopped fighting!” exclaimed Shirley. All the people on the beach started running from the sea and both Garrot and Aleese started screaming too. “What’s wrong pumpkin?” Shirley asked. The kids just ran around screaming not bothering to answer. “Has anyone seen my muffin?” asked Grandpa.
When the parents looked at the sea where the kids were never taking their eyes off, they saw something that made them freeze in their track. A black portal was there parting the sea like some sort of pathway. Garrot ran around like a crazy man and when the family realized what was going to happen, it was too late. Garrot slipped on the golden sand and fell onto the floor. He got back up, but he was too close to the portal so when he ran, he ran in place. He looked so determined to reach the end, but he had no more energy to keep going. He jumped as one final effort to grab onto Aleese’s hand, but he was sucked into the portal filled with blood curling screams. “Seriously guys, Where’s my muffin?” said Grandpa. The family had tears in their eyes and their mouths were wide open, no one cared about a Muffin, until grandpa went to close to the portal. In the blink of an eye, Grandpa was gone. “Grandpa…I HAVE YOUR MUFFIN!!!!!”screamed Aleese. “We need to go in after them!” said Aleese “Well… In these types of stories they always find their way home!” said Cadable “Well, in these types of stories someone goes after them!” said Shirley with a slight quaver in her voice. As the parents argued, Aleese made an irrational decision by jumping in the weird vortex. Shirley decided to push her husband one step too close to the portal and jumped in after

On a drive on Highway 50, through Nevada to see a real ghost town, Agnes finds a little girl named Rebecca who has been separated by her family who was looking Leister 's gold. The capper of the whole thing is that Agnes saw the whole thing in a dream, but she gets to the Goldberg Hotel and Saloon, she realizes the whole thing was real, especially the inside of her room. She soon finds out that the entire hotel is haunted by all kinds of spirits from past guests; which only serves to make Agnes 's vacation that much more interesting. She wants to find out what happened to the family. She knows with every fiber of her being that it was not just a dream, and that a little girl really did go missing in the night before Agnes showed up. Throughout the years, scientists have debated and quarreled over their findings, observations and theories for the most correct model of the composition and internal structure of the Earth.
I was also becoming a little frustrated, because I could not figure out what dilemma the creature had in its mind. As it neared a very large building, it at last almost seemed it was about to explode with anger, but with its last few steps it seemed to regain its peacefulness. In conclusion, this was an awesome story. The above questions were the catalyst to the real truth that would make the brother to that little girl free at last. His son was determined to break the cycle and remedy this generational condition, although the means by which he used were terrible. But, he would get through to his father. He shed light in the dark place by first beating his father into sobriety, so that he could think clearly. He then helped his father to open up to the discussion concerning the secret he had held on to for so long. Then, he also convinced his father to burn the “Shawl” of his deceased sister. And finally, his father realized what the true story was. A story that would in turn loose the tie that bound them all together with generational sorrows.
Four tectonic environments in which magmatism occurs: destructive plate margins, constructive plate margins/divergent plate boundaries, oceanic intraplate and continental intraplate. Arcs are magmatic products of destructive plate margins (stern, 2001) which are referred to as sites where new continental crust is created and old oceanic crust is subducted back into the mantle (Hawkesworth , Hergt, McDermott, Ellam, 1991). An island arc is a form of an arc produced by the subduction of an oceanic plate beneath another oceanic plate (Hu, 2013). Island arcs are characterised by high large ion lithophile elements and low high field strength elements ((Hawkesworth , Hergt, McDermott, Ellam, 1991). New oceanic crust is created at the mid ocean ridges and by mass balance is then destroyed (recycled back into the mantle) at the subduction zones (Jarred, 2003). As it forms it undergoes hydrothermal alteration where the composition is changed from olivine, plagioclase and glass dominated to being dominated by clay minerals i.e. low grade metamorphism (green schist facies) (Jarred, 2003) where it becomes enriched in water, carbon dioxide and incompatible trace elements such as uranium and potassium. As the crust moves away from the ridge it accumulates sediments and becomes colder, older and dense enough to subduct. As the cold slab subducts into the hot mantle, it heats up. The slab goes to greater depths faster than it’s heated therefore pressure increases therefore hydrous minerals start to break down (Aizawa, Tatsumi, Yamada, 1999). The slab undergoes metamorphic reactions from hydrous green schist facies to amphibolite facies and finally to anhydrous eclogite facies at depths of less than 100 km (Ringwood, 1977). ...

The plate tectonic theory is a theory that geologists use to help explain the Earth’s surface processes and events. It explains that the sliding of these plates are either away from each other, sliding past each other, or sliding into each other and causing one of the plates to slide beneath the other. There are three kinds of plate tectonic boundaries: divergent, convergent, and transform plate boundaries. A divergent boundary occurs when two tectonic plates move away from each other. Magma then flows up from the mantle to fill in the space between the plates, forming a raised ridge called a mid-ocean ridge. The theory of plate tectonics, only recently introduced to the world, transforms the thought that the earth has been the same since its beginning. The theory alters the view of the average person almost in the way that Columbus showed the world was round. The theory of plate tectonics was developed from the theories of continental drift and sea-floor spreading and states that the earth’s surface is divided into several large plates, which are constantly in motion.
Since the beginning of human kind there has been a cloud of wonder of how our planet was formed. Scientist interested in this field through out the years have developed many different theories to how our planet came about. Before the Twentieth Century, scientists and geologists thought that mountain structures were due to the massive tightening of the earth caused by the gradual cooling of molten rocks. In 1900, American scientist Joseph Le Conte, published an article in the Appleton's Popular Scientific Monthly. He described that the problem in understanding mountain building was establishing the cause of sideways pressure. It was not until 1910, that an American Geologist named F.B.Taylor, proposed the idea of a continental drift. Other scientists dismissed Taylor's idea, because there was just not enough proof. However, Taylor's idea was then backed up by a German scientist named Alfred Wegener. He proposed that the continents surrounding the Atlantic Ocean, Africa and South America fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. His broad range of studies enabled him to incorporate his theory of Plate Tectonics. Wegener, later in 1915 while in the German military published his idea that interpreted how his continental drift theory worked. He proposed that a huge landmass called Pangea, meaning ("all land") existed 200 million years ago. He furthered explained that this super continent began to drift apart very slowly throughout millions of years into what it looks like now. Wegener went on several expeditions through out his life to the continents of South America and Africa.

There are also many different aspects to the North American Plate. There are regular basic facts about the plates, there are specific scientists that gathered and founded information about this plate and many others. There is the location of this plate and the plates surrounding it. There are multiple different types of boundaries that surround this plate.
My sweat soaked shirt was clinging to my throbbing sunburn, and the salty droplets scalded my tender skin. “I need this water,” I reminded myself when my head started to fill with terrifying thoughts of me passing out on this ledge. I had never been so relieved to see this glistening, blissful water. As inviting as the water looked, the heat wasn't the only thing making my head spin anymore. Not only was the drop a horrifying thought, but I could see the rocks through the surface of the water and couldn't push aside the repeating notion of my body bouncing off them when I hit the bottom. Ever since the beginning on time, Humans believed the ground is solid and immobile. But this is not true whatsoever. The Earth is every-changing and continually in motion. The stability of the Earth is not at all what we think it is. Thinking about the rotational axis of the Earth, and possibly of what the Earth may become at a certain point in time, has a great influence on understanding all aspects of living things, either in the past, present, or future. The Theory of Plate tectonics is accredited to most of the creations of Mountain Ranges, the Centennial drifting Theory, for earthquakes, and volcanic activity. Plate tectonics and mountains also play a big part in the Earth and its geological features.
The oceanic crust is more dense, thin and simpler in structure as compared to the continental crust. It is 6-9 kilometers thick and is made up of mainly mafic rocks or sima which is rich in iron and magnesium.
Understanding the plate tectonics theory is very important, especially when investigating natural disasters like earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions. It is also gives scientists the ability to understand how mountains were formed between two tectonic plates. There are three types of interactions between plate boundaries: convergent, divergent and transform. Looking back at the history of these three different interactions, earthquakes, like the one in Haiti, volcanic eruptions, like at Mount St. Helens, and the creation of mountain belts, like the Mid-Atlantic Oceanic ridge, gives information on future consequences of tectonic movement, and what can happen when the plates interact with each other.
