It was morning when we set out on our quest once more. We took the paths again, so I had no clue how long it would really take us to get where we needed to be. I hoped maybe we would get lucky and they'd bring us closer rather than farther. That didn't seem to be the case, though. It had already set us back two hours. "Just where are we going this time?" Ciel asked from behind me. He didn't seem to be so worried about being secretive anymore. Or about keeping his distance. Perhaps I really had gotten through to him. I answered, "The Caterpillar. His knowledge is primarily of the darker sides of Wonderland, but he is often given information. He might know something of Rabbit." He questioned, "Will he be more sensible than the Duchess?" I just smiled at him. He sighed, knowing my answer from my actions. I slowed down so I could walk next to him and said, "You know, I'm rather curious about this London, England. Mind telling me about it?" "Well, London is a city. England is the country it is in," he started. I gasped, "A city? That sounds so fun! But what's a city?" "It's a place where people live, but is usually rather industrial." "Industrial?" His world had a lot of strange words. "Oh, dear," he muttered. I couldn't help that I didn't know. "Industrial means factories and machines. They make things for you without so much manual labor. It allows the products to be much less expensive, which companies sell. I own a company myself. I manufacture sweets and children's toys. It's called Funtom Company." "That sounds exciting! But, wait. Why would you want to make people grow?" I wondered. "That isn't what food does to you there. You have to eat and drink in order to survive. It's a necessity. Food and drink... ... middle of paper ... ... actually pretty nice outside. God damnit, I just couldn't win. "Alice? What's wrong?" I dismissed after taking a deep breath, "It's nothing. Let's keep moving." I took a step forward only for my knees to buckle underneath me. I fell on the dirt path. I started coughing, but that time, it seemed more like hacking. He kneeled next to me and said, "Alice? What's going on? Alice!" "S-Something's… wrong… with me," I managed, my voice weak. My eyelids fluttered shut. I was so tired. I just wanted to sleep. Why was I acting so strange? I had woken up only a few hours ago. "Alice, keep your eyes open! Stay with me!" "I feel… drained," I complained breathlessly. Why is my heart beat slowing? It was racing a second ago, I thought incoherently. I could barely string the words together in my mind. I fell unconscious in Ciel's arms, him screaming for me to wake.
The Industrial Revolution was a fundamental change in the production of goods that altered the life of the working class. Similar to most other historical turning points, it had skeptics, or people that doubted the change, and fanatics, people who saw the value in the change being made. The Industrial Revolution and the period that followed shortly after highlight these varying opinions, as people were more conflicted than ever about the costs of industrialization. While industrialization started in England as an attempt to capitalize on the good fortune they had struck, it quickly developed into a widespread phenomenon that made the production of goods more exact and controlled by higher level people. Many industries, such as the cotton and textile businesses, were previously run through organizations called “cottage industries”.
Industrialization is the process of developing machine production of goods. Extensive natural resources such as water power, coal, iron ore, rivers, and harbors were required for industrialization. Britain had not only these resources but in addition it had an expanding economy to support industrialization, a large population of workers, and political stability which gave Britain an advantage. All these things are called the factors of production.
The Industrial Revolution was the rapid growth of industrialization in Europe and later the U.S. Starting in England in the late eighteenth century, the Industrial Revolution was a time of great advancements. Changes took place in almost every industry including transportation, mining, textile, and more. But didn’t just stop there, modifications were also made to the social world. All of these new ideas combined made what we know today as the Industrial Revolution.1

Several systems of making goods had grown up by the time of the Industrial Revolution. In country districts families produced most of the supplies that they used, while in the cities merchandise was made in shops, and manufacturing was strictly regulated by the guilds and by the government. The goods made in these shops were limited and costly. The merchants needed cheaper items, as well as larger quantities, for their growing trade. They had to establish another system of producing goods. The cottage or domestic industry filled in the gap for some time, because it gave the merchant a large supply of manufactured articles at a low price. It provided employment for every member of a craft worker's family and gave jobs to skilled workers who had no capital to start businesses for themselves. A few merchants who had enough capital had gone a step further. They brought workers together under one roof and supplied machines. These establishments were factories.
The Industrial Revolution refers to the major change that happened in the manufacturing process in the 18th century. These changes that covered many branches first appeared in Britain.
Industrialization was when the people went from an agrarian lifestyle to an Industrial society. There were two different currencies one was bimetallism and the other was Monism which helped the poor. This was bad because some people made a lot of money and some didn’t make a lot at all or any. The source was “Robber Baron Cartoon”. Industrialization mainly focused on how
He wondered if he had gone mad. He covered his ears with both of his hands, but he could still hear the garbled voices that were echoing around the room. He sat for a moment behind his desk and slow his breathing telling himself that he was simply tired.
“You’re very different.” He spoke in a quiet voice his face eye level with her waist. Her hair fluttered with her nodding head, her lips smashed together knowing she should protest or run or scream, but her body was frozen. The air around them felt very thick, like everything was in slow motion.
Kurt just sat there for a moment before he asked if she was alright. He knew that she would answer with “I’m fine,” but he asked in hopes that she would just answer him honestly for once. Every night, he heard her crying herself to sleep. He knew that she was trying to be silent, but he had grown so accustomed to silence that even her small noises seems like thunderclaps. The countertenor new how she felt about him and Blaine inviting her to stay with them, but despite what she thought, the two boys actually enjoyed it a lot. Kurt had always been an only child, and when he lost his mom, he had wanted someone just to be there for him so bad. Now, seeing someone in his life that had just gone through the very same experience, he wanted to be
I stood there just staring I could not move. Every time I moved o\n took a breath I felt him getting closer. Quickly, I had to do something but I did not know what. I feel like he has a gun or a weapon but I do not know for sure. I was 5’4 and 87lbs., and this guy had to be at least 6’9 and 250lbs.. There was no way that I would win in a fistfight so I just had to sit there and hope he would not see me hiding. I decided to run, I got shot in the leg.
I could feel my heart jump as the chair hit the ground with a heavy thud. I choked, my lungs and neck ...
Chester’s eyes lit up, it’s been a while since anyone had asked him about the museum, he loved it and once of the reasons he and his fellow guards stayed after the lights when out. They felt and obligation, no duty, to stay and guard the museum, it’s what they loved. “Yeah, sure would love to give y’all a tour! Anything particular you’re look ‘in for?”
