We are living in an exciting time with many beneficial technologies sure to be coming out in the next few years. The game-changing technology that I am most excited for are self-driving automobiles. According to the World Health Organization, over one million individuals die each year from automobile accidents. Furthermore, the majority of these accidents can be attributed to human-error. Self-driving cars will be revolutionary, particularily because they are significantly safer than human drivers. Once self-driving cars become popularized, billions of dollars used for covering automobile accidents will be saved, and can be invested into other worthwhile causes.

For this project we were randomly assigned groups to prepare, and present a seminar on Macbeth. During the first two days of groupwork I was becoming frustrated because I always work to the best of my ability, and some of my group members were content with a mediocre grade. By the third day of our meetings, I came to the conclusion that action needed to be taken if this seminar was going to be completed to a level of quality I was happy with. I tasked myself with delegating a section of the seminar to each member, and then met individually with each person, on my own time, to make sure that they were comfortable with what was expected of them. Following this, I hosted the presentation document so that I could scrutinize the presentation for spelling and grammar. On presentation day, this hard work paid off, as every group member did what he or she was assigned, and this competency reflected itself in our mark. Although I have always worked hard on school assignments, prior to this project I was a shy individual who had the mindset of a follower. Tinnitus is defined as the perception of sound within the human ear when no external sound is present. One day, about two years ago my right ear started ringing and it has not stopped since. Although tinnitus itself is harmless, it has caused me psychological harm, by interfering with my ability to sleep, and perform quiet activities. Although the net impact of tinnitus upon my life has been negative, as I have come to terms with it I have tried to turn it into a positive motivator. To me tinnitus serves as a reminder to make the most out of every minute of life because it can change at any moment for no apparent reason.
