A lot of people were talking about the dead man, sharp, bitter, old Scrooge. Throughout the story, Scrooge has proven himself to be a very harsh, solitary man. No one cared about him and can be proven in these examples and quotes. In the text it states that the woman says, “He can’t look uglier than he did in that one.” This proves that she thought he was a very ugly man and he looked even uglier in that picture. On page five in Stave four the woman says, “This is the end you see.
