Evolution is the process of change that has morphed beginning life into the large variety of organisms there are today. Biology can be organized into different levels: biosphere, ecosystems, communities, populations, organisms, organs and organ systems, tissues, cells, organelles, and finally molecules. Scientists use these levels as a form of reductionism, or the technique of breaking down complicated systems to smaller elements for easier studying. Every level has properties that the last one did not known as emergent properties. Biologists use systems biology side-by-side with reductionism in order to fully analyze these properties.

Everyone uses the idea of a hypothesis every single day whether they know it or not. There is also a certain type of logic that is built into the scientific use of a hypothesis, deductive reasoning. Deductive reasoning flows in the opposite direction, general to specific. Although there are many questions that cannot be answered by science. Scientific inquiry is a huge way to learn about the natural world but there are a few limits on the questions it can answer. Supernatural explanations are far beyond the science world and cannot be answered by the typical system of inquiry. Science requires natural and real explanations for natural things occurring in nature.
A controlled experiment consists of two groups, one being an experimental group where something is applied, and a control group, where everything remains the same. In science, a theory is much larger with respect to a hypothesis. A theory can be put into place in hopes to form many new, testable hypotheses. A theory proven to be true is supported by much more evidence than a hypothesis. Although, new evidence can disprove a once proven theory. First, when observations are made, hypothesises are formed. To test these hypothesises scientists conduct experiments. If their hypothesis is right, it is confirmed by further experiments and validated by other scientists. After many experiments and confirmations, a theory is formed. A scientific theory is a broad and general idea or explanation provided by scientists and is related to observations and is supported by a large amount of evidence. A theory is not a fact however it is just a possible explanation. An example of a theory is the Big Bang Theory.

Despite the world being full of diverse people with varying accomplishments and skill sets, people oftentimes assume the qualities and traits of an individual based purely on the stereotypes set forth by society. Although these stereotypes are unavoidable, an individual can be liberated, empowered and ultimately overcome these stereotypes by obtaining an advanced education.
Webster’s dictionary defines science as “the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment” (Webster’s 786). What that basically states is that science is a subject that can be studied through experiments or observations. All of the sciences taught in public high schools do indeed fit this definition; they are studied through experimental labs, teaching students to learn facts through their own observations. However, there is a subject that is also taught by observation and experimentation, but is not considered a scientific subject. This highly debatable subject is Intelligent Design.
Television has affected every aspect of life in society, radically changing the way individuals live and interact with the world. However, change is not always for the better, especially the influence of television on political campaigns towards presidency. Since the 1960s, presidential elections in the United States were greatly impacted by television, yet the impact has not been positive. Television allowed the public to have more access to information and gained reassurance to which candidate they chose to vote for. However, the media failed to recognize the importance of elections. Candidates became image based rather than issue based using a “celebrity system” to concern the public with subjects regarding debates (Hart and Trice). Due to “hyperfamiliarity” television turned numerous people away from being interested in debates between candidates (Hart and Trice). Although television had the ability to reach a greater number of people than it did before the Nixon/Kennedy debate, it shortened the attention span of the public, which made the overall process of elections unfair, due to the emphasis on image rather than issue.
Science is reason, and reason is needed to explain the consequences of everything; its use is needed to explain the past, as well as predict the future.
As just stated, experimental tests may lead either to the confirmation of the hypothesis, or to the ruling out of the hypothesis. The scientific method requires that an hypothesis be ruled out or modified if its predictions are clearly and repeatedly incompatible with experimental tests. Further, no matter how elegant a theory is, its predictions must agree with experimental results if we are to believe that it is a valid description of nature. In physics, as in every experimental science, "experiment is supreme" and experimental verification of hypothetical predictions is absolutely necessary.
The purpose of this lab was to figure out how much energy and weight from the dart was needed to puncture the plastic film, or causing it to fail. Molecularly, the lab was testing to see if there was enough weight to break the bonds that make up the plastic film. Physically, if the energy and weight was powerful enough, then this would create a hole in the plastic film upon contact with the dart. The critical parts of this machine were the “O” ring and the weights. During this lab it was important the the “O” ring was functioning properly. This meaning that the “O” ring could hold the plastic film taut in order to accurately determine how much energy was needed to tear the film.
