When people think about mental illness they think about people with mental voices or psychopathic killers like Michael Myers from the movie Halloween , but not all mental illnesses or disorders are so not visible or easily distinguished. Psychological disorders can vary from as minor as drinking problems to as severe as depression and anxiety. Though all mental illnesses are severe and harmful in many ways psychiatrist and doctors still are yet to find permanent cures. There is research linked to genes, hormone problems, brain development, and environment that trigger mental disorders but no research yet indicates the true cause.
Bipolarity, Schizophrenia, and Anxiety are all mental disorders prominent in the world and the United States. Each disorders has several stages, stages, and groups in which the disorder gets more intense leaving the patient in critical condition. Bipolarity has has three main stages which include severe mood swings, hypomania or long periods of depression interrupted by brief mania or intense energy much like hyper activeness, and Cyclothymic which is both intense suicidal depression with the mixture of intense energy. Anxiety has twelve types or groups, which have similar conditions but affect different parts of the mind and thus having different symptoms. Schizophrenia or split mind is a illness that worsens in a patient if not treated. In this specific disease a patient may hear, see, or feel unrealistic or imaginary things.
Mental disorders affect millions of people around the world, and it is the greatest untreated group of illnesses in the world. Many of the psychological disease are incurable only treatable or suppressed. There is very little research going into mental disorders due to the l...

...nd suicide. The depressive thoughts with in the patients cause them a great deal of pain with, which sooner or later mentally shuts them down.
Treatment exists for bipolar patients, lithium, which is a drug that suppresses depression and reduces extreme mania. Lithium although very helpful have many side effects which cause a lot of other illnesses such as migraines, vomiting, diarrhea, and acne. Patients who don’t look for treatments or help have a high risk of drug, cigarette, and alcohol abuse. From the affected who don’t look for professional help 15% commit suicide ( Marcovitz). Although lithium is powerful if constantly and regularly taken it takes weeks before it takes full effect, also patients who take the medication become immune or resistant to it within three years.
