Did you know that so all bees in the world are close to extinction? It is estimated that a million beehives disappear or are destroyed each year. Some people may say that humans shouldn’t help bees because they will eventually go extinct, but if they go extinct we’ll have lost a natural helper of agriculture. Bees help with agriculture naturally, so we need to focus more on measures to protect bees so that they do not become extinct. One of the reasons to help bees is the fact that they pollinate plant when flying over head. The bees pollinate plants by flying from one to another. If bees went extinct, we would lose a natural source of pollinating. Likewise, if extinct, all the agriculture pollinating would have to be done by humans. Plants like cotton are also pollinated by bees, so if they die cotton will be a much harder resource to come by. This why we must protect bees. …show more content…

Without bees honey would also be a scarce resource, and many foods are also made with honey. It has often been said that bees are responsible for one out of every three bites of food we eat. Furthermore, if bees weren’t protected than most of the food and things we love will be astronomical harder to come by. My final reason is that without bees humans would have to do the pollinating. That would involve expensive equipment. Farmers don’t get paid very much, so more equipment means less money. Also, without money more people become homeless.
