Many ask…” What is sociology?”, sociology is the study of human groups and societies, and is also a social science. Same sex-marriage is a very well-known sociological topic in the society today. Same-sex marriage is very self-explanatory, it’s the marriage between two partners of the same sex.
Same-sex marriage really got big in the 1970’s when Richard John “Jack” Baker and James Michael, both students of the University of Minnesota, applied for a marriage license. They were denied the application by a Hennepin County District Court clerk Gerald Nelson. Both Baker and McConnell sued Nelson, because they said the law made no mention of gender. When SCOTUS breaks the back of gay partialness, the long road of rejuvenating will commence. Floods will come, earthquakes will go and life will go on. Hell, we will even be struck by a few meteorites, but that will be an extraneous aside to this issue. Meanwhile puerile people will be edified tolerance. Anti-gay sentiment will gradually dissipate as society shifts in their mentality. The subconscious messages will transmute. “Faggot” will be the incipient “N” word. This essay explores further changes that may lie ahead as same-sex marriage debates increasingly affect both family law and the convivial construal’s of marriage. Marriage as an institution has transmuted most dramatically because of the cumulative effects of the last half century of de-gendering family law. Same-sex marriage and perhaps even more so, the highly visible cultural debate over it is contributing to this process.
There are also the reasons why same-sex marriage is good for our economy and society. Very few individuals know this, however sanctioning same sex relational unions would give a huge monetary blast to both the private and open division. Individuals from the LGBT people group wish to wed for the same reasons we as a whole wish to get hitched, and should experience the same procedures in the event that they were permitted to wed.
