A mother took a trip to the San Francisco Zoo with her five-year-old daughter and one-year-old son, but the family never went inside. Instead, the 22-year-old woman pulled up, stopped her car, and shoved her daughter out onto the ground, leaving her behind as she drove off with her son, according to KRON. Samantha Patton abandoned her young child on the road just as paramedics were driving by, with them quickly springing into action to save the girl from any harm. Witnesses spotted Patton tossing items out of her car prior to kicking her child out of the vehicle. A man on a skateboard was also seen near the area the girl was left at. He turned out to be the one-year-boy's father, but he was not the girl's dad. Police found Patton's son

Great people often arise from unlikely places. During the civil war women were barred from serving in the army; however, women did sometimes disguise themselves as men and enlisted in both the Confederate and Union armies. During the Civil War years of 1861 to 18-65, soldiers under arms mailed countless letters home from the front. There are multiple accounts of women serving in military units during the Civil War, but a majority of these incidents are extremely hard to verify. Nevertheless, there is the one well-documented incident of the female Civil War soldier by the name of Sarah Rosetta Wakeman.
I have known Paula Lahera for many years; however, our relationship really began to thrive four years ago. We both started at Harvard Westlake in ninth grade and having been at the same elementary school, knew each other well enough to strike up conversation. I knew right off the bat that we would develop a great friendship because I was able to recognize an intense curiosity and kindness in her that was welcoming for anyone slightly nervous at a new school.
The interview seemed to confirm that the family was not involved in the murder. The foster home investigation was closed.[7] A DNA test showed that the stepdaughter was not the boy's mother.[1]Another theory was brought forward in February 2002 by a woman identified only as "M." Police considered "M"'s story to be plausible but were troubled by her testimony, as she had a history of mental illness.[8][9] "M" claimed that her abusive mother had "purchased" the unknown boy (whose name was Jonathan) from his birth parents in the summer of 1954.[4][10] Subsequently, the boy was subjected to extreme physical and sexual abuse for two and a half years. One evening at dinner, the boy vomited up his meal of baked beans and was given a severe beating, with his head slammed against the floor until he was semiconscious. He was then given a bath, during which he died. These details matched information known only to the police, as the coroner had found that the boy's stomach contained the remains of baked beans and that his fingers were water-wrinkled.[4]"M"'s mother then cut the boy's distinctive long hair (accounting for the unprofessional haircut which police noted in their initial investigation) in an effort to conceal his identity.
Most Americans have been to a zoo or aquarium at some point in their lives. They spend the whole day outside with their friends and family looking at all the animals from all over the world. For most people, zoos are the only way they will ever be able to see these amazing animals in person. However one animal that lives in zoos across the country may not be there in a couple years.
She finally managed to get his body into the back of her truck. He had been a fairly good sized boy, and it was a struggle for her. She made sure that it was secure in the back, since the gate didn't always close right. She didn't want any accidental spills in the middle of the road.
