Hello Class,
For this discussion, I have chosen the sports property of the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors play in the NBA within the Pacific Division and have a large local and regional fan base in the city of Oakland and state of California. Even though the Warriors have a large fan following, there are several ways of extending the Warriors brand reach beyond the basketball court with conventional sports minded consumers and non-sports fans. In order to accomplish this, the Warriors must think outside the box and look at attracting typically unaware markets and consumers that are missing the marketing and advertising plans that are currently being used. The Warriors can use partnerships, alliances, licensing, merchandising and sponsorship activation to build the brand awareness and effectively increase their revenue.
The Golden State Warriors are planning on building and then moving into a new basketball court for the 2017-2018-basketball season. The new arena will be located at Piers 30-32 on San Francisco Bay, south of the Bay Bridge, between the Ferry Building and AT&T Park. The Warriors can develop an alliance with the San Francisco Venue Development Project, which is responsible for the new arenas build. This alliance can highlight what the new arena can do for not only the Warriors and the San Francisco Venue Development Project but also the surrounding neighborhoods. The proposed arena can have entertainment, restaurants and exercise options for all that enjoy that San Francisco waterfront area. Fans of the Warriors and non-sports fans from pedestrians, bicyclists, tourists and local residents can use this newly created area. The Warriors can extend their brand by doing a marathon that runs through...

Oklahoma City they are renamed the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Moving of the Seattle Super Sonics to Oklahoma City and the creation of the Oklahoma City Thunder have brought many positive impacts to the Oklahoma City metro and to the entire state of Oklahoma both economically and socially.
The multi-purpose arena that I have chosen to evaluate is Boston University’s Agganis Arena. This arena is considered to be the next generation of Boston sports and entertainment by incorporating the latest multimedia technologies and providing the finest possible sight lines and views of the action. The arena is located within Boston University's new $225 million John Hancock Student Village, a 10-acre hub of activity designed to be the thriving center of student life and athletics, Agganis Arena is a state-of-the-art, multipurpose sports and entertainment center scheduled to open in January 2005. A 290,000-square-foot premier venue with 6,300 seats for hockey and ice shows, the Arena is expandable to over 7,200 seats for concerts, sporting events, and family shows.
Pittsburgh is known as a sports’ town that gets behind their three teams. Being located in Pittsburgh, the Steelers use one of the main companies in the city for the stadium name, which is called Heinz Field. The location allows for many local sponsors to get involved with the team, while, at the same time, it creates business for the stores and restaurants around the city. In 2010, Forbes rated Pittsburgh as the most livable city in the U.S. (Levy). This gives incentive to players to feel comfortable once they begin to raise a family while playing for Steelers.
Prior to the current stadium, the Cowboys’ home was one of the most recognizable professional sports stadiums of its time. According to Stadiums of Pro Football, “Texas Stadium, seated nearly 66,000 fans and was known for its partial roof where weather conditions could play a factor in each game,” (Page 1). Stated in the official Irving, Texas fact sheet pertaining to Texas Stadium “the stadium was constructed at a cost of 35 million and lasted from its opening date in 1971 until it was closed in December of 2008,” (Page 2). The new stadium built to replace Texas Stadium in 2009 named Cowboys Stadium, is luxurious to say the least, not to mention it is practically brand new. Altough 4 years later reported by Star Telegram, “Cowboys Stadium would now be known as AT&T Stadium under a multimillion-dollar naming-rights deal between the iconic football team and the Dallas-based ...
The Heat currently plays home games in the American Airlines Arena. The arena hosts over 80 events each year outside of the Miami Heat home games (The Heat Group, n.d.). The arena was officially opened in December 31, 199 and has seating capacity of 19, 600. The cost of construction was $213 million and the Miami Sports and Entertainment Authority is in...
The proposed location in Cobb County lies between Interstate 75 and Interstate 285 and will provide multiple access points to the stadium. There are numerous highways and side roads that will alleviate traffic congestion before and after game time. The proposed track of land for the new stadium is approximately 60 acres. However, the stadium will only occupy approximately 15 acres. The remaining 45 acres will be utilized for parking and mixed-use development. The site will accommodate approximately 6,000 parking spaces and the mixed-use development will consists of shops, restaurants, bars, residences, offices, and hotels. The 60 acre complex is designed to keep the sports fan entertained for the entire day and not just for the game only. If additional parking is needed, there are approximately 30,000 parking spaces within close proximity to the proposed stadium location that will have circulator shuttle access.
Abstract: The Stadium construction boom continues, and taxpayers are being forced to pay for new high tech stadiums they don’t want. These new stadiums create only part-time jobs. Stadiums bring money in exclusively for professional leagues and not the communities. The teams are turning public money into private profit. Professional leagues are becoming extremely wealthy at the taxpayers expense. The publicly-funded stadium obsession must be put to a stop before athletes and coaches become even greedier. New stadiums being built hurt public schools, and send a message to children that leisure activities are more important than basic education. Public money needs to be used to for more important services that would benefit the local economy. Stadiums do not help the economy or save struggling towns. There are no net benefits from single purpose stadiums, and therefore the stadium obsessions must be put to a stop.
When I learned that I had to write this research paper, instead of procrastinating, I convinced myself to JUST DO IT. This phrase also happens to be one of the signature phrases of the leading athletic apparel company, Nike. The JUST DO IT campaign has been very successful for Nike, but it is not he sole reason for their success. Nike’s campaign has definitely persuaded me to go out and buy a few Nike products. So what exactly does Nike’s persuasive campaign consist of? This paper will discuss all aspects of Nike’s persuasive campaign. Some of the campaign’s strategies, goals, and techniques will be revealed. Some persuasive theories that can be applied to the Nike advertising campaign will be identified and explained. After discussing these theories, the specific arguments of the campaign will be validated. Overall, the entire campaign will be analyzed and it will be determined whether the campaign is a success or a failure.
The Rogers Centre, originally named SkyDome, is located in downtown Toronto near Lake Ontario. Situated at the base of the CN Tower, the visually captivating dome stands 31 stories tall and covers 11.5 acres. (CITE 1) Aside from its physical dominance, the dome is an architecturally interesting and significant structure because it was the world’s first stadium with a fully retractable roof. Furthermore, the multi-purpose building is very important to the city of Toronto because the venue has accommodated over 50 million people attending thousands of events since it opened just less than 25 years ago in June of 1989.

Other than the trademark short shorts of the 70’s and 80’s, the game of basketball has drastically changed over time. Even the high-flying, basketball pro, Michael Jordan acknowledged that today’s game is not what it used to be, paying homage to areas that surpassed, but also the areas that, he believed, worsened. Many embrace these new changes, however, there are still many who believe that the NBA is slowly withering away and losing its edge; which will you be?

Today’s society aims to keep kids off the streets and to get them into good environments. This goal is easily achievable with a 75 inch, symmetrical, orange globe—a basketball. The Federation of International Basketball Associations, or FIBA, states that over 450 million people in the world, from professionals to amateurs, play the game of basketball. The popularity of basketball is skyrocketing in the 605 with the help of two prosperous colleges in the city: The University of Sioux Falls and Augustana University. I play ball for the USF Cougars and am just one of the fourteen members who strongly believe in the motive to serve. Therefore, creating programs to help children in need around the area through basketball activities would be largely
