I cannot get that song of the brave Rikki Tikki Tavi the mongoose out of my head. A mongoose is a furry creature from India who kills cobras or other types of snakes and if its eyes get red, the mongoose is mad. Also the mongoose is a curious creature It is strange how similar the book is in the movie. Some of these similarities are the conflicts, the resolution and the rising action.
Mongooses can usually fight off snakes and so his family puts him in charge of protecting Teddy. Later on in the day, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi hears Kariat and approaches him, making sure Teddy is safe. Rikki-Tikki-Tavi swings his body in side-to-side motions, so he can make a move in any which way. Kariat makes a move and Rikki-Tikki-Tavi jumps and land on his back. Rikki-Tikki-Tavi bites his neck and paralyzed Karait. If Rikki-Tikki-Tavi never killed Karait, he could’ve easily killed Teddy. But Rikki-Tikki-Tavi saves his family by risking his life again, to ensure the safety of them
People that behaive good and look up to there parents it dosent means it will always be like that people change in some points.The novel The Rock and the River by Kekla Magoon is a novel that talks about a 13 year old whos father is a civil rights activist in the midle of the the novel he starts to gain intrest in a group called the Black Panthers.The protagonist of The Rock and the River,Sam,becomes more mature over the course of the novel his perspective of the world shifts after using a gun at the peaceful demonstration and Stick’s death by the police officer.
Rikki Tikki is a brave and curious character in this story. Rikki-Tikki- Tavi is brave in this story because he sticks up for his family and he doesn’t care how big or how small they are. Evidence that supports my character traits is, “Rikki-Tikki knew that he was a young mongoose and it made him all the more pleased to think that he had managed to escape a blow from behind.” (page 9). Rikki-Tikki’s bravery towards his family gave him the confidence to fight the snakes. His bravery showed his foster family how much he really cared about them. Rikki- Tikki examined the entire house and puts himself in daunting positions (paragraph 15). This evidence shows that Rikki-Tikki is an interested character because he doesn't show that getting hurt will stop him
Rikki-Tikki-Tavi is a children’s book written by Rudyard Kipling, about a mongoose that was adopted into by an English family in India. The story begins with a little boy, Teddy, finding a mongoose washed up after a flood. The mongoose was friendly and would protect the house from venomous snakes; they named him Rikki-Tikki-Tavi because it is onomatopoeia for the sound that Rikki makes.

The last trait for Rikki is risky this is how he shows it. When it was his last chance to finish Nagaina he “plunged into the rat hole where she and Nag used to live” (p.27). Rikki is now going to extensive lengths to help this family, he is taking serious risks that could potentially kill him. If he doesn't take the risk then Nagaina could come back to hurt the family. Rikki is risking his life to finish off Nagaina. Rikki is definitely showing how he is risky in this
In the story Life Of Pi by Yann Martel it talks about a boy who is lost at sea trying to go to Canada. In the other story The Snows Of Kilimanjaro by Ernest Hemingway talks about a man who is injured and need to get to the hospital. Even though both stories seem very similar they have some differences as well. In both of the stories the authors express the idea of death as coming in the form as an animal, they also use the animals to raise or lose hope of the protagonists, and finally the animals are used to bring pain and suffering to the protagonists as well.
In the article, “Once Upon a Time, Literature. Now What?” by James Salter, a novelist, by discussing the importance of language and literature, he believes pop culture is a threat to these customs. Salter states that without language there is nothing; without words there can be no understanding of nature, of the human condition, of the world which surrounds us. He goes on to state that learning language is the single most important task a person must accomplish. He writes that without language a human cannot describe or understand such powers as God or the beauty of the universe. The Dream of the Rood is a poem that illustrates the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ from the perspective of the cross. The illustration comes together in a dream. The rood or the cross communicates with the Dreamer, to give him hope in the future return of Christ and eternal glory. Additionally, the rood encourages the Dreamer to share his dream with others and point them to the cross. This poem is meaningful to me because it prompted me to reflect on the cross and what it represents. It is a symbol of God’s love and what He did on the cross, so we could be saved from our sins.
Does being the antagonist always mean you are evil? In AELA this year, we read a short story called Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, by Rudyard Kipling. In the story, the main character, a mongoose named Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, is washed out of his home, and taken in by a family of people. In the backyard, there are two snakes, Nag, and his wife Nagaina. Rikki has to fight the snakes in order to ‘save’ himself, and the other creatures in the backyard. That is, however, only Rikki’s side of the story. This essay is about Nagaina, and how she may be more than just an evil antagonist. In the story, Nagaina is not only sly, but also intelligent and caring. Almost everything Nagaina did was for her children, still eggs at the time.

When Kipling was 12 years old, he was sent to boarding school. The reason that Rudyard was born in India was because his parents were in the British Empire traveling to India when they had him. Through the years of his life, Kipling often traveled around the U.S., and sometimes to other countries. In his travels, Kipling met one of his greatest friends, Leander Starr Jameson, a colonial politician. It is believed that, although it was addressed to Kipling’s son, “If” was actually about Jameson. By using themes Kipling saw in his friend Jameson, such as humility and stoicism, the speaker shows the reader a set of virtues that show what the characteristics that are necessary to being a decent human being.

Young Joseph Kipling loved the exciting life that came with living in India. He often explored local markets with his nanny and sister, he learned the language at a young age, and fell in love with the country and culture.
