Many countries like the United States have adopted the republican Rome as a reproduction for their own governments.

The Twelve Tables was well received among the Plebeians because they now had equal rights as the Patricians. However in the text it said the Plebeians “forced” the Patricians to create the Twelve Tables, so the Patricians were probably hesitant because they held all the political power. And this was also the first set of laws written down that the Romans had ever used, so it probably took time for them to adjust. The Twelve Tables also helped the Patricians not hold all the power in
The Roman laws are important to the ancient world and today. Many of these laws are still in use in the United States. I selected three of the laws that I think are still very important. I chose: 1) all free people have equal rights before the law, 2) judges must interpret the law and make a decision fairly, and 3) people have rights that no government can take away. These laws are still very important to us today. The next paragraphs will explain why the Roman laws are essential laws now and then.

Law is one of the most important elements that transform humans from mere beasts into intelligent and special beings. Law tells us what is right and wrong and how we, humans, should act to achieve a peaceful society while enjoying individual freedoms. The key to a successful nation is a firm, strong, and fair code of high laws that provides equal and just freedom to all citizens of the country. A strong government is as important as a firm code of law as a government is a backbone of a country and of the laws. A government is a system that executes and determines its laws. As much as fair laws are important, a capable government that will not go corrupt and provide fair services holds a vital role in building and maintaining a strong country.
