Shakespeare is remembered for lots of different plays, like Hamlet, King Lear, and Romeo and Juliet. Inside Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare, there were a lot of great characters, like the Nurse and Friar, who both had big personalities which crossed each other inside a way and both took place inside the overall tragedy.
The Nurse and Friar are both very different characters, but inside a special way, you are able to find the similarities inside them as characters once you dig past the big picture. On the other hand, the Friars most dominant trait is how he is a major problem solver. Inside Act 4, scene 1, the Friar helps Juliet find a way to end up with Romeo for a happily ever after type marriage, the Friar says “Take thou this vial, being then in bed,/ And this distilling liquor drink thou off” (Act 4, Scene 1, lines 95-96). This shows the Friars way to problem solve by how he had went out of his way so he would look like a star and the couple would be happy together. Both the Nurse and Friar bring several different emotions onto the table, for example, how the Nurse is a big bundle of fun, and a humorous character overall, like inside Act 2, scene 5, when the Nurse was just coming back from talking to Romeo about the marriage plans. “Lord, how head aches! What a head have I!/ It beats as it would fall into twenty pieces./ My back o’ t’ other side! Ah, my back, my back” ( Act 2, scene 5, lines 51-53). This shows what humor the Nurse brings into the story, as she teases Juliet about how she must not care about her. On the next hand, the Friar is more the character that makes the play interesting and moving along, in example, when he tells Romeo to say his goodbyes to Juliet then to leave right away in the morning to Mantua. This shows how the Friar keeps the play moving along by how he tells Romeo exactly what to do or else the play would have been never ending. Both the Nurse and Friar are big parts of how the book had ended, for example in Act 4, scene 1, the Friar had sold Juliet poison that would make her sleep for a few days then she would wake up to Romeo on her side. But really she did wake up to Romeo on her side, but dead. This is one way how the Friar could've made the end of the book end like it did since he hadn't planned everything out right. But a way the Nurse could've changed the book was inside Act 4, when she told Juliet to move onto Paris,
