Even though historians believed for decades that the Roman empire did not have the capability to make their way out to the Americas, there has been recent evidence indicating that this in fact is quite far from the truth. Various scientists from the Ancient Artifact Preservation Society have uncovered a massive shipwreck that does prove the fact the Romans did attempt travel to this side of the atlantic to further expand their already massive global empire. The recent discovery of a Roman sword, a legionnaire’s whistle, gold coins and a part of a soldier's shield, one of the leading historian of this project named Pulitzer is now entirely convinced that the Romans did in fact visit North America. The historic investigator and his team claim that the Romans did indeed visit America anywhere between the pre or post the first century, thus validating the Roman population as the first non-indigenous group to arrive in the vast North American lands. Interestingly enough, the sword was actually brought up to the team’s attention when a man decided to contact a History Channel show that focused on the history of Oak Island. To demonstrate that this sword was in fact a Roman artifact, historians decided to thoroughly examine the surrounding area to see if any indigenous paintings or visual aids indicated that members of this massive global empire influenced the Nova Scotia area.
