Modern teenagers experience many challenges. Schools that support the outside lives of students improves their in school lives as well. In the movie Transformers, Sam experienced trust issues, and trouble and harassment by the police. He struggles to maintain responsibilities at home. Support and comfort can reduce and minimize the amount of problems teenagers face in their daily lives, although they can not completely escape challenges. School and extracurricular activities are hard to maintain and Sam was an example. Many teenage boys deal with harassment by the police and it only makes their lives harder. During teenage years youth are very rebellious. Home life can trigger rebellion causing youth to act out. Rebellious acts can result in trouble with the police. In the movie Sam was constantly on the run, trying to escape the police. He struggled to clear his name and proved that he was on the right side of things. A real life example of teenagers struggle with police would be Beyond Scared Straight, from home life, to drugs to jail. Teenagers are very social people that meet many friends along the way. Due to the fact that teenagers are very social, often times they are neglected. Teenagers spend time hanging out with friends, playing video games, and being active. It is very hard to stay focused on more important things during this time, such as homework and grades. In the movie Sam neglected his chores at home and he was out with the autobots. His dad grew very suspicious of his activities. The autobots were at home with him, hidden in the backyard. Sam’s activities with the autobots led him to neglecting his duties at home and focusing his attention on them. Many teenagers fail to balance chores and a social life. A consistent parental support of responsibilities and a social life can minimize this
