There is no Right or Wrong There are no two people in the world that have the exact same thoughts and feelings. Each person forms their own ideas on certain subjects, that others will disagree with. Many aspects of a person’s thoughts are based on their background. From as early as childhood, a person’s thoughts and opinions start to form, and change based on influences, such as parents or teachers. For example, if a child’s parents raise that child a certain way, that child will likely choose to raise their children the same way. This does not necessarily mean that the parents raised their child the right way, but they raised their child the way that they felt was right. This is to prove that there is no right or wrong. Many people look up to their parents, especially while they are children, which is why their ideas on right and wrong often come from their parents. This also includes things that have happened to people as children. If a person has a bad childhood, that may reflect on their future thoughts and opinions. In A Tale of Two Cities, Madame Defarge was raped, and her family was murdered. She says, “that peasant family so injured by the two Evrémonde brothers, as that Bastille paper describes, is my family.” (Dickens 3-12) These events are the reason that she believes that it is right for her to get revenge during the French Revolution. Because of the murder of her family she believes that killing her enemies is the right thing to do, while others may not. Though many thought her actions were extreme, she believed her actions were justified because they made up for her horrific childhood. From a young age, children begin to absorb everything they hear, which helps them to form their own opinions on right and wrong, and they often form these ideas based on their parents’
