In 1997, former United States Secretary of State Madeleine Albright gave a commencement speech to the graduating class of Mount Holyoke College. Albright uses a tone of hope, anecdotes, and repetition to inspire and motivate the graduating class of the women's college. Throughout the speech, an underlying tone of hope is present.
