The story Shooting an Elephant, written by George Orwell tells the story of a moment in the author’s life when he witnessed injustice, due to the imperial corruption of his country. People who are from third world countries would be able to relate to the point Orwell is trying to get across, because they too have also experienced the hatred from their own townspeople.
