PROJECT OVERVIEW Beginning in 2010, a team led by Laura Gonzalez de Chavez began translating and editing the Revive Our Hearts radio program for production in the Dominican Republic through partnership with a Christian radio station in Santo Domingo. The program in Spanish is called Aviva Nuestros Corazones (ANC) – Revive Our Hearts, and in January 2011 they began broadcasting 2 days a week in Santo Domingo. By mid-2011, ANC became aware of a church in Chihuahua, Mexico that wanted to broadcast the programs in their city. By January 2012, the radio program that was originally intended for Dominican women had spread through the Internet to reach Ft. Myers, Florida; Chihuahua, Mexico; Uruguay; Columbia; Venezuela; Costa Rica; Honduras; Argentina; …show more content…
We originally partnered with HCJB to broadcast two programs a week. Recently, the broadcast was moved from HCJB to Trans World Radio (TWR), which will open additional station opportunities as the TWR syndication network becomes aware of ANC. • ANC was invited to speak for a women’s conference in Querétaro, México and participated in a conference in Costa Rica • ANC hosted the MV15 Conference, which was a huge success in the Dominican Republic. More than 500 women from 23 countries were ministered to and left the conference with a fresh hunger for the Word of God. Additionally, a pre-conference event drew 1,800 young women, their mothers, and leaders. • ANC launched a blog for young women patterned after the Lies Young Women Believe blog for the U.S. • True Woman 101: Divine Design, just published by Portavoz, was launched during the MV15 conference. The book will be distributed by Portavoz in South America. Volunteers are ready to translate True Woman 201: Interior Design and Portavoz is ready to publish it. • ANC currently employs a total of seven official staff members (three are full time and four are part-time), to serve the ever-growing

However, it wasn’t an effortless process for these women to gain respect. These women experienced sexism and were often discredited for their work. During the El Salvadoran Civil War, sexism was prominent. The women working in groups such as the FMLN were trying to change these perceptions, and create a more equal life for the women in El Salvador. Although sexism was still very common, the FMLN and the women involved were working very hard and their contributions were beginning to be noticed.
-NAB ofcourse said no way and developed their own network called Broadcasters Music Inc. (BMI)
In 1930 a man named Rafael Leónidas Trujillo was elected, he was known for his dictatorship. During his Campaign he had it arranged with a secret police force called SIM “Servicio de Inteligencia Militar” (Military Intelligence Service) so that his opponent would get killed. In 1950, Trujillo tried to find reasons to put the three sisters “in their place”. Trujillo felt threatened by the sisters, not only did they oppose him secretly but publicly as well.
The Boston radio scene has changed a great deal since WRBB’s inception in 1968. Amid all of the corporate turnover and company buyouts, college radio in Boston is often left out of the important radio history of the ninth-largest media market in the country.
On September 5th 1995, the United Nations held its fourth World Conference on Women. In attendance were some of the world 's most prominent women, including Hilary Clinton. During the conference, Clinton gave a speech addressing all of the good women have done and the accomplishments of the last few years. But continuing on in the speech, she begins to address the wrongs that still need to be righted. “At this very moment, as we sit here, women around the world are giving birth, raising children, cooking meals, washing clothes, cleaning houses, planting crops, working on assembly lines, running companies, and running countries…They are being denied the right to go to school be their own fathers and brothers. They are being forced into prostitution,
On July 18, a group of 26 students, including myself, embarked on a service trip down to San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic. San Juan de la Maguana is an impoverished town on the western side of the Dominican Republic, right in the middle of the island of Hispaniola. While there, we organized a camp for the local children in the town through the local parish, Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza. While there I came to two realizations. One being the language barrier separating the groups of Americans and Dominicans couldn’t keep away the genuine human connection between us. The other was questioning whether these kids needed our help as much as some other people needed it.
These target groups spend an extraordinary amount of time listening to radio, especially in the car, and should be extremely receptive to the XM product due to their constant need for radio entertainment and willingness to pay for it.

...This is both helpful and interesting because we are once again to see different culture address different issues. Their focuses are on making a stronger bond and unify the women.
Think about the things that make a home look nice. Think about the specific components that pull the whole place together. The paint or wallpaper on the walls, the hardwood or carpet on the floor, the furniture, and even the paintings or decoration on the walls. All of these important characteristics make up interior design. Interior design has been around for as long as the very first homes were built. But, what many people don’t know about are the continuous changes in interior design throughout history. From the looks of the early 17th century home, or the introduction to neoclassicism in the 18th century, to the move towards modernism in the 1900s..Interior design is an ever changing feature.
CAFTA became known as DR-CAFTA in 2004 after the Dominican Republic joined the association. Initially the agreement included the United States, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. To date, Costa Rica has not formally sanctioned the new agreement yet, but that it is a priority and will be looked at within the next few months. In March 2006, DR-CAFTA entered into force for El Salvador. Honduras and Nicaragua followed one month later, and Guatemala in July. The Dominican Republic Senate has already approved the agreement and is expected to pass it soon after the Dominican administration adopts the implementation requirements from Washington for its entering into force (Chamber of Commerce, 2007).
