I am interested in becoming a RCCL (Residential Child Care Licensing Inspector) because I believe it's imperative to protect the children who have previously been in dangerous situations. The children that RCCLs help are already quite fragile and most likely have some mental and emotional scars. This sector of the child population need to be cared for and kept especially safe. In working and dealing with emotional and mentally scarred children can be quite difficult due to their lack of trust, self-esteem, and possible anger caused by the trauma and/or removal from home. While gaining those children’s trust would be an equally difficult endeavor, I believe the aid provided by RCCLs is life altering making the job one of the most rewarding positions
