So we must find a way for our new society to fit in with the rest of the world. This is the reason I decided to become an environmental engineer. I knew I wanted to do something purposeful and I had initially thought I wanted to go into physical therapy. However, physical therapy did not capitalize on my strengths—math, science, and attention to detail.
