Relationships in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet In this essay I am going to discuss the relationship between Juliet, Mercuito, Tybalt and the nurse. Juliet is very independent. She acts older than her age, she is also very confused and depressed at the moment. She is caught between family honour and true love. The nurse is very talkative, she is very protective of herself and Juliet. The nurse is a servant of the Capulets, and therefore she is very polite. She is also very helpful and has a lot of patience. Mercuito, is a very faithful friend to Romero. He is funny and always manages to find a joke out of something, that would lighten the hearts of his friends. Tybalt is a very violet and aggressive character in the play. He is very cocky and likes a good fight, "tis he that villian Romero" He willing to provoke a fight with anyone from the house of the Montigue, especially Romero. Unlike Mercuito, Tybalt is rather dry and has no sense of humour, he is always serious. Tybalt is a member of the Capulets and deeply honours the family name "why uncle tis a shame" The nurse has raised Juliet since she was a baby. She plays more of a mothering figure than Juliet's true mother does. The nurse and Juliet regularly meet in the play. Juliet talks more casually with the nurse than she does to her mother. When Juliet talks to her mother it is always very formal, calling her "madam". Juliet shows that she trusts the nurse ,ore than she trusts her mother. An example of this would be, that she told the nurse about Romero, and not to her mother. The atmosphere created by the nurse and Juliet, is very relaxed. One way that the nurse show that she cares about Juliet is that she remembers the exact date of Juliet's birthday. "come lammas eve at night shall she be fourteen" Tybalt is Juliet's cousin, and is very dear to Juliet. He wants to fight Romero, to prove that he is better, but Romeo does not wan to
In my life I’ve seen many different healthy relationships. The most healthy relationship that I see everyday is Jayden Mink and Lauren Devries. They have been together for almost five years. That is a very long time and I haven’t seen any relationship last that long. They are both good at sports, they both work on a ranch, and they’re both really smart.
Her relationship with Juliet is very distant and weak. This is revealed by when she calls the nurse to ‘’come back again’’ when talking to Juliet. She becomes nervous and feels like she couldn’t talk to Juliet without the presence of the nurse. This suggests that she’s not used to being alone with Juliet and relies on the nurse to do the parenting. The Portrayal of Romeo and Juliet's Relationship in the Play. In my opinion, the relationship between Romeo and Juliet is portrayed. in lots of different ways. It is portrayed as tragic, united, shows.
She loves Juliet like her own child. Throughout the play, The Nurse is very talkative. She will usually do what she believes is right or what Juliet wants, like secretly meeting with Romeo and arranging the wedding of Romeo and Juliet. Throughout the play, the relationship between Juliet and The Nurse always shows. The Nurse has a playful as well as caring relationship with Juliet.
In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the views of love held by the character Romeo contrast sharply with the views of Mercutio. Romeo's character seems to suffer from a type of manic depression. He is in love with his sadness, quickly enraptured and easily crushed again on a passionate roller coaster of emotion. Mercutio, by contrast is much more practical and level headed. His perceptions are clear and quick, characterized by precise thought and careful evaluation. Romeo, true to his character begins his appearance in the play by wallowing in his depression over Rosaline who does not return his love:
Love in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet "Romeo and Juliet" is a love tragedy based on different kinds of loves. Romeo and Juliet become married in a forbidden relationship over the high tension brawl between their rival families which Shakespeare clearly shows in the play. Despite the family brawls, the pair decides to let their "perfect" love defeat all. Peoples ideas have changed in the space of 400 years, for example back then some loves featured in this play would produce different reactions to the audience, than today. Shakespeare opens the play with the chorus who speaks a sonnet, where love imagery is found; "Two Star-crossed lovers" =

How Shakespeare Presents Love and the Problems of Love in Romeo and Juliet With particular focus on Act 1 Scene 5 and Act 2 Scene 2, show how. Shakespeare presents love and the problems of love in Romeo and Juliet. In the book Romeo and Juliet we look at the love and passion between Romeo of the Montague house and Juliet of the Capulet house as well. the feud between the two houses. Act 1 scene 1:
The Nurse has a stronger relationship with Juliet over her own mother, Lady Capulet. The nurse really cares for Juliet and loves her like a daughter because she lost her daughter Susan. “Susan and she-God rest all Christian souls!-/Were of an age: well, Susan is with God…”(Ⅰ,ⅲ,20-21). The Nurse lost her daughter, Susan, and she was born on the same day as Juliet. This leads me to believe that the Nurse must be replacing her own loss with the life of Juliet. The Nurse did do many things that only mothers do. “She was wean’d,-I never shall forget it…”(Ⅰ,ⅲ,26). This quote says that the nurse will never forget the day that Juliet was weaned off of her breast milk. Breastfeeding is something
the play is not solely about love but also a lot of hatred is involved
