To who’m it may concern, Being in English 5 class I learned many ways to start and finish my writing academically. Out of all the things I learned there were six main goals that I was supposed to concentrate on the most, and they are: to help students understand the ways that readers read and write in and beyond the university, to understand the writing process of reading, writing, and research, help students develop a metacognitive understanding of the process of the process of reading, writing , and thinking, to understand textual conventions, help students understand and engage in reading and writings communal processes, and lastly to help students think critically about academic discourse communities as contact zones where different cultures both connect and cone into conflict. I will be reflecting on my essays, and group activities that helped me achieve the six goals. I feel like I am an improved writer since the beginning of the semester. I feel that some of the writing assignments helped me improve my writing skills. Some of the assignments that helped me prove I met this goal was the Why I Write essay. The Why I Write essay makes you think of the reasons for communicating. In my essay, Why I Write I talked about the reasons for why I write. I write for personal writing, academic reasons, social media, and for jobs as well. It allowed me to analyze the forms of how I communicate through my daily life, and through writing. Personal writing is very useful to me in many ways. Personal writing helps me find my Identity, such as poetry, and I feel that writing poetry allows me to express my feelings on paper. It allows me to express how I feel on certain things, and I think that helps me grow as an
