Can being of a different race help or hinder you to have a fulfilled and equal life? In current social events many political leaders and general public have complained about how being of a different race has hindered there chance of having an equal and enjoyable life. Generally, people who have fulfilled life have a good education, job, and are always treated with fairness and equity which is usually based on their high level integrity. People of a different race suffer not having these pleasures that white people might have just based on their skin color. According to the US news, it inquires that US education is still separate and unequal just like the days before the civil rights movement. I believe that education is one of the most important steppingstones in having a decent lifestyle. It enlightens you on many points and further helps you find jobs and take care for you and your family, that is why it is extremely crucial that all races get the same education but unfortunately this concept is not abided. More than 60 years after Brown vs. Board of Education, school systems in the United States are still failing to provide equality in education. Obviously there are other circumstances that play into people of a different race not having the same education as wights but I feel that the US is struggling to overcome these problems like lower wealth, lower health, lower parental education levels, and more dealings with the justice system. These problems are so deep rooted the by the age of 2 one can tell the difference between a different race child's education and a white race child's education. Retention rates for students hit a high when 12 percent of black students are held back in ninth grade, just 4 percent of white students were, according to the U.S. Department of Education's Civil Rights Data Collection, I feel that this is no coincidence. This has broadened my perspective because now I see how much of a disadvantage the minorities have in education. This makes me want to bring about social change by making the education gap between the different races more apparent to the public, there are many ways though social media that this can become
