Henry had a 3 wife who gave birth to a boy named Edward. Henry rejoiced, he finally had a son. Elizabeth was a very talented and smart girl. She mastered all subjects and learned 5 languages by the time she was 12. King Henry died shortly after. Edward was now king but he was only 9 years old so others helped him rule. Edward ruled for 6 years until he passed away when he was 15. He was never very healthy though. So Mary now age 21 now was queen of England. She was a bad ruler like Henry she was cruel took money from the poor people and killed hundreds. Her nickname was BloodyMary. She married a man who was mean like herself, and he only married for power,not love. Everyone loved Elizabeth, they even tried to overrun Mary to give Elizabeth the throne. But it did not work. Last but not least, she could have been afraid of marriage because she grew up surrounded by failing marriages. Her father for example, executed her mom and stepmother because of adultery when Elizabeth really young. Another example could have been her sister Mary and her failed marriage to Philip of Spain. I like this theory the most because I think it represents a human being, not some selfish Queen that didn’t married because she wanted all the power for herself.
