The propaganda poster is used to highlight the issues in society of how people in power can indoctrinate their people. When someone is in power, they have the ability to control the media of information that comes in. They can alter this in a way to benefit themselves and to build themselves up, using the propaganda techniques. My propaganda poster is illustrating how people in power can easily take advantage of its people’s weaknesses and use them as their strengths. The intended audience of the poster is for the animals of Animal Farm who are credulous to superiority. The visual images I used were of the animals from Animal Farm and some generic symbolism to illustrate a sense of utopia and hell, and to show how the animals are easily gullible to power. Transfer is used by Napoleon sitting on the cloud above all of the other animals. This creates a positive image of Napoleon, which forces the reader to associate him with good things. On the other hand, this technique is also used to put Snowball under a negative light by associating negative qualities with him. Giving Snowball an adverse expression and establishing gloomy symbols around him gives the reader a positive look on Napoleon. Plain folks is seen in how all of the animals look easily relatable to, which makes it easy to assume you can become them. Glittering generalities is also used in my poster with words such as “prosper” and “die”, which do not give the reader much information on what might actually happen, as they are just umbrella terms. However, they are big words that are able to make you feel these extremes. The emotions that are being appealed to are euphoric and miserable, showing two very opposite
