Problems In Franz Kafka's The Metamorphosis

In the story of The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, there are many problems one after another and there are so many you may even say that it is very Kafkaesque. First, the meaning of Kafkaesque is when you are in a bad situation and it just gets worse and hopelessness.There are three big problems that shows the story in a Kafkaesque way. The first is when Gregor turns into a bug. The second is when he gets out of his room and his dad try's to get Gregor back into his room by throwing things at him. The third is at the end of the story when his sister plays the violin. The Metamorphosis is a mixture of Kafkaesque, hopelessness, and surrealism.

Who had no idea there was a large insect in the next room and Gregor's door was slightly open so he could see them but the three renters could not see him because of the darkness in Gregor's room. Gregor attracted to his sister's violin playing came out into the living room and was growing closer to his sister, when the three renters finally noticed. His father and sister both were trying to get the three men back into their room. When the three men saw Gregor they were outraged by not knowing that there was a huge insect living in the apartment with them so, all three gave their notice and where moving out the next morning. Now Gregor was then chased back into his room where it was dark and dirty Gregor died with an apple in his back. Sister wants to have nothing to do with the insect and was trying to convince her mother and father in to dispose of it. The following morning the cleaning lady found Gregor's body and the family was relieved for they could now go on with there life without a certain large insect.

In the end Gregor's urge to help and support his family did make a lot of trouble, but
everyone has a crucible they must go through and if they can make it they become stronger. Gregor's sister is now at the end of this Kafkaesque story has more self confidence and is ready for anything strange due to her experiences with Gregor's health problem.
