Although abortion has been apart of human history since the beginning of time abortion has reached its conversational apex. The topic of abortion in the previous 50 years has become a controversial subject that has been used amongst political parties in a heated debate to relatives fighting at family reunions. The more traditionalistic and conservative point of view stems from the group known as the Pro-Life activist who are behind anti-abortion movements. The National Right to Life is one of many pro-life groups and their mission statement says “The mission of National Right to Life is to protect and defend the most fundamental right of humankind, the right to life of every innocent human being from the beginning of life to natural death.” There is a logical explanation to why people believe in Pro-Life. Although it may seem as if abortion puts women in situations where it is necessary to save the mother’s life in some situations. Everyone tends to have their own articulated opinion, and many vocalize tenaciously what they believe. Pro-life individuals along with religion are sanguine that abortion is ethically and morally erroneous. Whereas those who are pro-choice say that abortion is inconsequential and the mother’s choice is more important than the fetus. Reasons to not get an abortion include risks involved in receiving an abortion. In some cases death can occur. However, there are other alternatives to abortion. In hopes of settling this controversial issue, I've given my knowledge and beliefs on the matter.
