What aspect of graduate study do you expect to present the greatest challenge?
I expect to face many challenges in the UNT graduate study program. The courses are expected to be rigorous especially because it is geared towards preparing students further professional programs. However, I believe I am extremely well prepared for the hardships ahead in regards to course load and content. Furthermore, my background in upper level science at Texas A&M University have strengthen my core knowledge of sciences, but most importantly taught me how to prepare for arduous course load. I believe the most problematic portion of this program will be starting the program in a major metropolitan city so quickly after graduation.
First it is essential to confront the obstacle of relocating to a new environment. I have never resided in a major metropolitan area, and acclimating to a major city will require an adjustment. I do look forward to the numerous opportunities that will be presented in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but I am also wary orienting myself throughout the city. Personally, have spent little time in the Fort-Worth area, but I know it will be a unique experience for myself and

Furthermore, I will be applying to medical school for Fall 2018 as well; therefore, the process of completing applications while managing the coursework of a MCAT prep course and biostatistics will be demanding. Furthermore, I expect the difficulty of these courses to be more ambitious than my undergraduate coursework at A&M due to the extreme preparatory nature for professional school. I’ve also been informed that the classes are regarded like UNT’s Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program, but that will be an obstacle that I look forward to confronting, so that I may be thoroughly prepared for medical
To fully appreciate the experience, you need to understand the history of this area. Exchange Avenue runs through the Historic Stockyards. When cattle were being driven on the Chisholm Trail to the railheads, Fort Worth was the last place to stop for rest and supplies before crossing the Red River and entering Indian Territory. From 1866 to 1890 it is estimated that over four million cows went through Fort Worth – or Cowtown as it is often called. In 1876, the railroad finally arrived and Fort Worth became the primary shipping poi...
The fact that this program is a BA-BS/MD as opposed to a BS/MD caught my interest. As a prospective premedical student, I have aspirations to become a physician, but I do not want to be limited in my undergraduate studies to a curriculum that is solely grounded in a premedical path. Whereas in other schools I would worry about falling out of the premedical track if I took a non STEM major, the flexibility offered by Hofstra’s 4+4 program allows me to fulfill a major in not only biology, but to focus on other topics that I have growing passions in, such as social science. Programs offered by Hofstra such as American Studies become feasible options for me whilst maintaining the more relaxed premed standards of the 4+4 program (as opposed to the standards set by a traditional route to medical
For years I’ve been planning a family vacation but had never decided a pleasant and fascinating place to visit. A lot of people relate the adventures in San Antonio for tourists. To mention a few, The Riverwalk, Sea World, Six Flags Fiesta, and The Tower of the Americas are the main attractions that would be perfect for a family trip. I was so enthusiastic and explored more into it. I gave my family the great news of going and exploring this amazing city on our own! San Antonio offers the best of attractions and activities in all Texas! Whether you’re looking for popular entertainment for the whole family or to spend time with your friends, I was so positive I had made a superb decision!
My lifetime goal is helping others and I plan to use my career to fulfill it. The classes I’m taking right now and the ones I’m planning to take senior year are classes I believe will influence my decision in my college major/career as well as counting toward my GPA. This will help me get into schools who have medical programs that I’m considering. Also, taking AP classes can help me save money since I can earn college credit. I’m taking all AP classes, and the electives I’m taking have been classes that have helped me consider being in the medical field. I’ve found that over the years, science and math are what I’m doing better in versus history and english. I believe by being in the medical field, I can help others in the best way I can.
Due to my pleasurable experiences as an undergraduate at Temple, I explored the TUSM without hesitation as an option for my medical school education. When I investigated the curriculum offered, I was very interested the doctoring course that runs throughout it. I feel that the integration of the curriculum with clinical skills is an critical part of medical education. From my undergraduate years, I know that this is the way I learn, and I believe that I would excel in this course as well as perform better in the basic science blocks. To further pursue my interest in the TUSM, I attended a panel of medical school students inclu...
Acceptance into medical school is highly competitive (1). Medical school is also very costly and 80% of students borrow money to cover their education expenses (3). Students must submit transcripts, scores from the Medical College Admissions Test, and letters of recommendation (1). Most schools require an interview with the board of admissions (1). The first two years of med...
I approached Pennstate this past August with a great deal of anxiety, interest, and excitement. I had no clue what school would be like, and I knew that I would have to learn how to adjust to my new student life. The rapid adaptation I would need is one that would be comparable a scientist in a lab, trying to discover a cure for the new strain of flu virus that would thrust the world into an unnecessary panic.
I know that I want to have a career in the medical field, so to prepare for that I have taken many high school science classes, including biology, chemistry 1 and 2, and physics. I’ve also taken many math classes, English 101 and 102 though Grand Rapids Community College and heath classes through Grand Valley State University. These classes have helped prepare me for a medical degree by exposing me to math, science, and college level classes; all of which are particularly important when it comes to trying to receive a medical degree.
Furthermore, during my time at University, I noticed that Biology especially Human Anatomy and Physiology grabbed my attention and indeed a preparation for my new course in Radiography. Also, this part of the degree course has contributed a major strength on the entry requirements. In this gap year, I sat for IELTS exams and I passed all modules. In the meantime, I am having Maths tuition from the ICS Learn to prepare for Edexel Maths exams on May, 2017 at Basil Paterson Tutorial College in
One of the topics in organizational development today is leadership. Leadership is what individuals do to mobilize other people in organizations and communities. According to Kouzes & Posner, there are five practices and ten commitments of exemplary leadership. The five practices of exemplary leadership include: Model the way, inspire a shared vision, challenge the process, enable others to act, and encourage the heart. In the Leadership Challenge, Kouzes and Posner found similar patterns and actions of leadership that created the essentials to achieve success. Utilizing the research conducted by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner, I have created a leadership plan that would apply to the Admission Department at Texas Wesleyan University.
Although I have great goals to help people, my grand wish cannot be granted without a great amount of effort on my part. I decided to take part in activities that would help me reach my goals and to ready myself for that field of work. My extracurricular activities and my electives showed proof of my interest in the medical field over time. I made an extra effort to look for activities and classes that could help me on the way to becoming a doctor. My first step was
With so many constant changes today with different generations, legal and political circumstances and ever-changing and improving technology sources, organizations have new and recurring issues arising every single day. The reasons for these issues vary widely and develop because of so many different situations. The outcome of the situation depends on many factors including the issue at hand, the management style and the ethics of the organization to simply name a few. These outcomes can certainly make or break an organization if not handled appropriately. The issue I have found to be the most significant is leadership. Within leadership, there is the opportunity for many issues in itself.
Computer courses are useful as technology is changing the way medicine is shared by physicians today. To head a career as a physician, a student needs to first enroll in a liberal arts program in undergraduate institution. Some colleges offer a premed major, but a general education with as many science and math course as possible and a major in biology or chemistry is good preparation for the study of medicine also. During sophomore or junior year in college, students should talk with an adviser about taking the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT). College students should apply to medical schools at the beginning of their senior year, so it is recommended to begin medical school research as early as freshman
Introduction People always talk about how important it is for companies to have a good leader, someone who not only keeps the blue numbers, but also achieves a loyalty from customers, pleasant working environment, successful business partnerships and ahead of the competition. To exercise effective leadership, the individual must meet certain parameters, which if they are carried out successfully all of them will ensure a long life to the organization. The relationship with partners should be based on trust. Do not just give employees a list of tasks, encourage their views so that their skills might be enhanced for advancement.
The program administers great flexibility, which allows the fortuity of pursuing my dream career while still getting the work experience I need. The options granted by this program are one of the many reasons why I became interested; allowing myself to take evening, weekend or online classes. Going into the Human Resource field, this is something to appreciate since it gives me – a part-time student and full-time employee – the time to complete the program at my own
