Recently, there has been an uproar about prayer in schools. Prayer is a way that Christians communicate with God all throughout the day. It is used in giving thanks to God, to seek direction from God in a situation, and even as speaking to God for help for others. Prayer before and after school football games and prayer during free time in schools are both examples of what is causing so much chaos at this current time. Prayer in school is important because prayers, whether in or out of schools, are in the lifestyles of true devoted Christians all around the world but some people want to put a stop to that. In fact, everyone does not even believe in Jesus Christ. This is proven by a documentation speaking on atheism stating “Editor of the Library of America volume of pulp-sf master H. P. Lovecraft's work, Joshi is ardently atheist” (Olson 1). The text states that “Joshi shares with them that the canard that failing to find a physical God disproves his existence” (Olson 1). By this quote we see that people who do not believe in the existence of God or in Jesus Christ would find it foolish to pray. They would not only find it foolish to pray to but even to live to a God who “does not exist”. Those that do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ also want to put a stop to all those who do believe. Those who do not believe not only want to sit in their unbelief but they want to take belief away from others. As stated before, this would be an act of hypocrisy because they want to throw the first amendment everywhere as a defense method but in this same act they are breaking what they say they believe in by trying to stop others from praying to Christ. People say that atheism is a lifestyle as well as things like being homosexual and so on. It is each and everyone’s own individual choice to do what they want to do. True Christians stand on the scriptures and know that if one does all that the word of God requires, they will make it to heaven and that is what they stand in hope for. “And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him” (Daniel 7: 27). Those who do not choose to serve and believe in Christ, it is their choice but they shall be condemned to an eternity in hell. “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” (Revelation 21:8). Therefore, if a student chooses to pray in school or even if a student chooses not to, it is their own choice. It is your choice. This is why prayer should be allowed in
