Recommended: Life of poseidon

Poseidon is a god with a lot of names he is most famous as the god of the sea, he controls the waves, the tsunamis, he cares for the plants and animals under the water he is Poseidon king of all waters. Poseidon had quite a bit of affairs. One affair involved his sister Demeter. He thought she was absolutely beautiful and desired her deeply. To avoid his constant sexual desires, Demeter turned herself into a mare, an act that only made Poseidon’s desire higher than ever. He turned himself into a stallion and raped her. This affair created a horse named Arion.
Another well-known affair of Poseidon’s was with Medusa. They were both attracted to one another. Medusa was very pretty when Poseidon first fell for her. In Athena’s temple they made love. Athena was so mad that she made medusa a Gorgon, a scary female creature, which she is known for in Greek mythology. One of Medusa’s well known characteristics was her hair, which was bunch of snakes. Athena and Peruses planned to kill Medusa by cutting her head off. Before cutting her head off, two children appeared. One of these children was the well-known flying horse Pegasus
One of Poseidon's biggest symbols of power was his trident, with it Poseidon was able to control the ocean,shake the earth, and destroy any object. Another one of his symbols were horses they were considered as one of his sacred symbols, to keep Poseidon happy people would sacrifice them by throwing them into the sea.
Poseidon was a powerful god that could shake the earth by simply striking his trident, his power was only surpassed by that of Zeus, but Poseidon's creativity was unrivaled. He might not have ever been anything if it wasn't for Zeus since he was swallowed at birth but Zeus gave his dad Cronus poison and he vomited up the children. The symbol for which Poseidon is best known is his trident. Poseidon is often shown next to his wife Amphitrite in a sea chariot drawn by sea creatures.In conclusion Poseidon was a pretty important god. god of the sea, he controlled the ocean, created the animals in it, and could shake the earth by striking the ground with his trident.Poseidon may have had an equal claim to the title of king of the gods, but Zeus chose the title of king. When the Titans made the thunderbolt for Zeus, they also made the trident for Poseidon. These are symbols of their power, and it's sometimes unclear which object and which god is shown.
