1. Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the moon.
- “Pink Floyds Dark “Side of the moon” album was released March 1st 1973 and recorded in Abbey Road Studios in London. The album is the 8th album recorded by the English Band and considered one of the best selling albums of all time. The album releases some of Pink Floyd’s more popular singles like “Money & Time”. Personally this is my favorite album written and produced by Pink Floyd because of its authentic artwork. I’ve noticed in that past that many different artist involving different promotional products has redesigned the album to promote their brand. That’s why it has always grabbed my attention. On the album, Pink Floyd’s name and name of the album is no where located on the album giving fans a deeper thought to what the album is going to be about.
There is a triangle in the center, with a reflection going off. Inside the reflection of the light going through the triangle, it slowly turns into a rainbow. Storm Thorgerson designed the album during the 1970’s.( http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/storm-thorgerson-how-i-designed-the-cover-of-dark-side-of-the-moon-20110928) I feel as though this album represents the bands image by its psychedelic features that the band would put on through their performances. People believe that this album has many different meanings and that the color’s in the rainbow mean different things, but I believe that it is just a rainbow reflecting on a light, kind of like the “calm after the storm”.

I love how Coldplay decided to make their album cover look like a battle they were trying to fight. The women on top holding the French Flag looks like it demonstrates victory, which in Coldplay’s position, accomplishment for creating a new album. I feel like the album is a good example that demonstrates what they were going through since they were “fighting” to create an amazing album for fans since before Via La Vida, Coldplay hadn’t created an album with new released songs in almost 3 year. The scrip of “ Viva La Vida” stands out to viewers since its scripted in Bold & White reflecting on the background of the war scene.
