In today’s society violence has become something that we hear and read about on a regular daily basis. It has become such a topic of conversation, that is seems to have turned out to be a part of the modern-day society. Violence is never just in a particular region or just on the streets. It is everywhere, including the places where we live our everyday lives and go about our everyday routines. It is in the schools where we send our children, in the neighborhoods, on the television, and even in some homes. Violence is all around us, but where does this violence come from. Most people would blame it on the upbringing of the person who has committed the act of violence, and then there are those whom believe that the fictionality of video games, movies, and/or books are the source. …show more content…

In the movie “Photo Booth” that came out in 2002, is centered around a man’s life who has been thrown into turmoil by picking up a telephone in this claustrophobic thriller. Stu Shepard which is played by Colin Farrell, is a brash, cynical, and self-centered public relations man who juggles a busy career with both a wife, Kelly and a mistress Pamela,. Stu steps into a phone booth on a busy New York street to make a call to Pamela without Kelly being the wiser, but as soon as Stu hangs up, the phone begins to ring. Curious, Stu picks it up -- and a stranger on the other end (voice of Kiefer Sutherland) informs him that if he hangs up the phone, he'll be shot.
