Phase Autobiography
My story begins in 2008 at my house in Limerick, Pa. My dad and I never spent much time together. We did not connect well either. One time my dad came home from the store with a football that became very special to me. The character of myself was excited and hard-working. The character of my dad was supportive and loving. This story starts out with a depressed mood and a miserable tone. The background of my life changing event started with negative experiences between my dad and I.
My dad and I originally had spent most of our time apart. I watched cartoons while my dad was working at his job. I played with my toys while my dad was outside doing yardwork around the house. I played with my friends while my dad

He said he was going to bring my a present. I was very excited; meanwhile the suspense of what the surprise was going to be was building up inside of me. Then when he got home, I started jumping up and down on the sofa. My dad walked over to me and handed me a box. I stared at the box with joy wondering what could be hiding in the mysterious box. With no hesitation, I ripped open the box and I saw a football. I wondered at first why he gave me a football. Later I understood the whole concept of why he would bring me a football as a present. I realized then that the football would help my dad and I bond more. This was the beginning of very happy times with my dad and I. The consequences of the phase event in my life was building a strong relationship with my dad. We started to play catch together, watch football on TV, and even go to football games. Even though I was previously depressed, after getting the football and realizing the implications of it, my outlook was more optimistic. People around us could see that we used to be miserable, but now they see the compassion we have for each other. The change that occurred was my dad and I building a stronger bond. The growth of the bond between us helped our father and son relationship become one to
Stages of Life in My Antonia In the past, critics have demoralized and brutalized every writer they could get their pen on. This is seen from criticisms of Henry Adams to William Butler Yeats. These critics critique everything about the writer and his/her works. For instance, many critics criticize Willa Cather's novel, My Antonia. Their criticisms lie on the basis that My Antonia is based on cyclical themes with no structure holding each of My Antonia's books.
For anyone, there are time when things are going to change whether the change is planned or not. For military families change and loss often are not planned, and they have no choice in the matter. For any one person or family to move through change or loss it is important to go through the steps of transition, also know by Hall (2008) as the transition journey. The three phases of the transition journey that have their own focus and tasks are endings, neutral zone, and new beginnings (Hall, 2008). Not everyone follows the transition journey exactly, but this is a good example and tool to help individuals and families through the process. The three phases of the transition journey are going to be explained in further detail in this paper.
It was a Sunday afternoon, with golden sunlight shining into the living room. I was spending my leisure time sitting of the sofa when my father joined me.
I was born in Mobile, AL. My date of birth is January 4, 1979. I was raised in San Diego, California. Most of my life I have been surrounded by a diverse culture of people. The role of academia and social issue are two topics I will be discussing personal experiences about my intellectual autobiography. Therefore, I have been inspired by educators in my community to discover a new path to improve education. Social issues has impacted economic and housing developments, jobs, and environmental resources. My career path will led me to teach, counsel, help foster families in need, and improve the community I live in.
Personality is the study of an individual’s unique and relatively stable patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving over time and across situations and it is what distinguishes one individual from another. In the past changes in personality were thought to have only occurred in the developmental stages of childhood and solidifies in adolescence. After the teenage years it was thought to be set like plaster or the change seen to be inconsequential or absent( Srivastava, John, Gosling, and Potter, 2003). However, recent studies have suggested that changes in personality traits continue to occur throughout an individual’s lifespan due to multiple reasons.
I used to get a cheese rollup and chips and cheese. We ate in my Dad’s truck which was a Dodge 2500, he always said “ If you spill in the truck I will kick your a**.” I always thought that was really funny. My Dad is a really funny dude and all my friends like him. My mom and dad were already divorced at this point. Then we went and picked up his girlfriend Kylee, I liked kylee a lot, she was really nice. We went back to my grandma’s because that's where my dad lived after the divorce. We went there only on the weekends. We love having sometime in the day to play games as a family. A game we really like to play is Just Dance because it was funny when all my uncles went and danced together in the living
The two thousand seventeen was a very challenging year for me, as it was the start of managing a mature life. Usually, people feel that the most important part of their life
As I walked along the sidewalk, I noticed the cracks in the pavement which spoke of tales known to only hard labor workers. It was then when I realized my life as a teenage adolescent boy was about to change. The cold breeze echoed sounds of silence, which sent shivers down my spine once it touched my skin. The midnight sky was full of stars as though drops of rain on a window pane, captivating and clear. Not like the ones on the reservation, but the view was adequately similar because on the reservation there are no lights and tall building blocking the view. The smell of fresh trees masked the grotesque smell of carbon dioxide polluting the air, but hey we need some type of means of transportation. Suddenly I was swimming in a sea of silence.
My dad’s parents would always take me and my brother places, one of the best things was going to the Oceanside pier and looking at what fishermen caught in their buckets. I seem to spend a lot more time with my dad’s side of the family because for one they live next to me unlike my mom’s side of the family. Every year we have a Knott’s Berry Farm get away for the weekend with all the family and during summer we all go camping together for a week. Even when I was little we had family vacations and we would all go down to Mexico and camp on the beach. I was looking at old pictures and I found a picture of me and this little girl it turns out she was just a little girl who lived in Mexico that I would play with. The interesting thing about this
My life has been a roller coaster ride with a lot of up and down moments. My roller coaster ride helped to realize what I wanted to study in college. I feel that I have a strong passion about psychology; I want to learn everything that I could, so I could be able to assist people. Everyone is passionate about a certain aspects of life, but I’m very passionate about my career. A passion is a strong feeling and sometime a controllable emotion that can make a difference in someone work ethic. During my career I want to be able to make a difference in other people lives. My passion for helping people came from my family experience, educational, work, and career goals. I feel that the passion that I have for helping people is
My story starts when I was 9 years old, I was in 6th grade and life was a long quest to adventure and learn new things. I felt like I could do anything and get away with everything, nothing could stop me, well that all changed when I came home from school one day and about an hour or so my dad came home from work, he went straight to his room. When usually he would give me a hug and ask how my day was, so I waited for what seemed like 5 minutes and went back to his room as I asked the question “where are we going if your packing, should I pack too? When is mom coming home?” he responded back with “Nowhere, go to your room!”
A few days later we went back to the lake with my father and two brothers. We fished for about an hour or two together and then went swimming again. Later the same day, he came over to the house to hang out and basically spent the entire day together. From the...
It was on a Friday morning at 4:30 A.M. that happiness and joy filled the hearts of both my parents. I was born on November 29, 1996 at Broward General Hospital in Fort Lauderdale Florida. My parents had five children, and among the five children that they had, I was the third (or middle) child from them. It started off as two boys, then I came along as the first girl, after it was another boy, then finally, another baby girl; so total was three boys and two girls. The way that my parents lived and treated each other was the same as if any other married couple that loved each other so much. They’ve gone through a lot to get to where they are now today, but they made it and along the way had us five children. They have been really strong with each other which made them only have the five of us and no other step children. My mom is a great cook and enjoy cooking for us; this is probably where my passion for culinary comes from. My dad is an amazing tailor, he is very good at making our clothes, and my passion for fashion probably came from him. My dad is also a teacher, one of the best math teacher I know, he is passionate about his job and his family is the center of his universe. I cannot finish this chapter without mentioning my grandmother, I was lucky enough to have ever met. I had spent part of my life time with her, like the rest of the family she is sweet, my grandmother Abelus,
It was around 2:00pm and it was time to open presents. I started with opening friend’s presents then I opened families. I was finally done opening all my presents. I looked around at all the people, who were looking at me and my dad was nowhere to be. That was the only present that I was looking forward too. The party ended and my dad didn’t show up, my little four years old hopes were in the ground, it was like I could feel my heart ripping appart. I looked at my mom and she mouthed I’m sorry, my faced turned rosy red and my eyes filled with tears. From that moment on my life was never the same. It was a dark cloudy day and I was going to see my dad. We were playing the game Sorry and he was winning. I was the yellow player and he was the green player, he was laughing and smiling the whole time. I wouldn’t have wanted to spend my Friday afternoon any other way. When the game was over he asked me to clean up the game while he went out to smoke a cig. When he entered the room and the game wasn’t picked up, he went crazy. His eyes seemed to turn a dark almost black color. It was like he was a completely different person when he came back
