Analysis of patient charts and determination of appropriate dosage levels for virtually any medicine have served to deepen my passion for this branch of health sciences. Whenever possible, I enjoy many diverse extracurricular activities. I enjoy playing basketball and taught myself to play classical guitar. Playing the guitar requires determination, patience and an open mind. My musical endeavors have taught me to absorb new information and to analyze problems from the perspective of another individual. While teaching myself to read music, I recognized an increased retention of new material. This skill will be extremely beneficial as I complete my education as a pharmacist. Also, I am an avid reader of mystery novels. I also exercise my observational and problem solving skills on a regular basis by paying attention to every detail in a particular task. My excellent communication skills, leadership abilities and team work are evidenced by participation in leadership conferences. These conferences helped me acquire the skills to cope with adverse situations and determine the best course of action for those involved. This was very beneficial in the handling of family issues after my mother passed away. I came through this devastating event having gained the wisdom to remain strong and positive despite adverse conditions. In any writing assignment, it is

The author includes many direct quotations from writing coaches who understand what admissions officers are looking for and know the best ways to approach the essay. With these 9 writing tips, Carlotti ensures that it will change an ordinary essay to an
Subsequent to attending a week of chemistry and medicine lectures during the Sutton Trust Summer School programme at St Andrews University and attending master classes at local universities, I know that I am committed to continue with my scientific education. The experience of lectures and the practical investigations in the laboratory have given me an indication of how to analyse and interpret data at such an advanced level. Studying pharmacology would allow me to develop my knowledge to a higher level, learning more about for example how the derivative of the opium poppy, morphine, works by binding to opioid receptors in order to reduce the impulses from nerve cells therefore relieving pain. I would also be able to explore further how high doses of morphine can cause respiratory depression, but more interestingly how these effects can be reversed by a competitive opiate antagonist which can bind to opioid receptors without activating them.

It is through deception that Montresor achieves his revenge against Fortunato. He did not believe that killing Fortunato is wrong because of the insults and injures Fortunato brought against him. ?The thousand injuries of Fortunato I had borne.? (Poe, 75) says Montresor. Montresor brought Fortunato down into the catacomb. This was his chance for revenge.
I have admired the work of healthcare professionals and the extent that they go to help their patients get well. As a community health care worker I want to deliver superior patient care and improve the quality of life for all citizens especially in South Texas. Currently, I am a pharmacy technician and have been working in pharmacy for the past 6 years. I attended South Texas College where I received my Associates in Pharmacy and decided to further my career. After receiving my associates, I enrolled back into South Texas College were I also received my Bachelors’ in Medical Health and Service Management. Upon receiving my Bachelor’s, I knew I wasn’t ready to quit. I enjoy being a pharmacy technician but I have this passion that I want to do more for my patients.

In this regard, Pharmacy which is based on Chemistry and Mathematics has interested me a great deal as it has direct impacts on our daily lives. Out of the many careers that one would opt to pursue, Pharmacy has stood out as the career that will enable me serve the society more directly and have a real impact in the quality of peoples’ lives by touching their health. In addition, I love a career that is challenging and one that I will be involved in even in old age. In this case, Pharmacy offers me this opportunity. My interest in Pharmacy has also developed from my personal health experiences and becoming aware of its expansiveness. Every time I have had to take medicine to cure an illness, I have become more interested to know how drugs are made and how the drug components work in the human body to alleviate pain and restore health. I desire to pursue a career in Pharmacy so as to gain practical experience in these aspects of research.

The course, Personal Essay and Memoir, provided me both new knowledge and the opportunity to experiment with some writing approaches that I had not used previously. The information gained from our textbook, Tell it Slant, contained helpful insights that is applicable to many types of writing. While this information is beneficial, in the long term, the immediate gains came from actually writing a personal essay. Furthermore, we learn more from what we do wrong, or poorly, versus what we do correctly. This is what my experience has been in this course.
I have always been inspired by the workings of chemistry and mathematics. My studies of these subjects have developed my understanding and have made me pursue my interest in these two topics. I want to take up chemistry as it involves a large amount of mathematics which I value and understand to be challenging, yet very enjoyable, as there is always an alternative route to obtain the answer. Additionally, I am drawn to the course because it is a mixture of all these exacting subjects, forming a degree that is very demanding and stimulating. Chemists are constantly thinking of new ways to produce viable drugs containing different isomers to improve the pharmaceutical sector using mathematical equations. Chemistry is about innovation, applying information to new areas and how to do things better than they were before, the degree appeals to and fascinates me.

A professional career in pharmaceuticals has been a dream of mine for many years. Becoming a pharmacist peaked my interest because a pharmacist is a crucial factor in patient health care. A pharmacist must not only understand a medication’s purpose, but also recognize how that medication will react in an individual’s body and relay that information to the patient. These responsibilities of a pharmacist are important to a patient’s safety, and I am more than capable of accepting these responsibilities. Through high school and continuing into my secondary education, I have showed a repeated interest in chemistry, biology, and mathematics.
While attending a Pharmacognosy seminar held at the University of Minnesota by Dr. James R. Fuch, I witnessed the importance of drug kinetics, bioavailability, toxicity and how drugs are administered. Indeed, it is what first directed my curiosity to learn more about applying chemistry to health care and research, which convinced me early on that becoming a clinical research pharmacist is the career path I must take. Pursuing a career in pharmacy is derived from a deep self-interest in studying pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, and to serve as a bridge for underrepresented Hmong communities. According to the 2010 US Census, there are roughly 260,073 people of Hmong descent living in the United States. Many are war veterans and elderly refugees
