Marijuana marijuana marijuana … Whenever you hear the word marijuana you immediately think of a bad horrible drug that takes many lives every year.
But that’s not really the case; my name is Alve Kjellström, a graduate student in the GG program of Stockholm Institutes of Biomedicine and Health, Swedish Academy of Sciences. And today I will tell YOU why WE should legalize marijuana in Sweden!
Well first off I’ll assume that everyone here doesn’t really know what Marijuana is, so let me explain that for you quickly. Marijuana—often called “pot”, “weed”, “herb”, “Mary Jane”, or “MJ”—is a greenish-gray looking mixture of the dried, shredded leaves from the flower Cannabis sativa. Most users smoke marijuana in hand-rolled cigarettes called joints; some uses pipes or water pipes called bongs. Marijuana cigars, or blunts, are also popular. Marijuana also is used to brew tea and sometimes is mixed into foods, like marijuana brownies and stuff like that. The down side of marijuana is that it’s strongly addictive and can have a negative impact on your brain, if you begin smoking or eating marijuana regularly for about 3-5 mouths you will most likely have serious trouble quitting it.

Well the best answer to that is the easiest answer, why not? There is no really good reason for marijuana to be illegal. Every living individual deserves the right to make choices for themselves. The government has a right to limit those choices if the individual's actions can endanger someone else. And that does not apply to marijuana. The government also has a right to illegalize things that can be a danger to yourself. And well yeah marijuana sure can be a danger to yourself, but there are supplements that are far more dangerous than marijuana but still are legal, like alcohol and tobacco for
