Title: Flu vaccine

General purpose: To persuade

Specific purpose: Persuading my audience to stop taking the flu shot due to several reasons that have been medically authorized.

Organizational Pattern: Problem- Solution

Introduction

I. Attention-Getter: Who does go to the hospital every year to get their flu shot? We all think that being vaccinated will boost our immune system to avoid Influenza for the sake of our wellness. Fox news reported a woman, Mrs. Jennings left disabled with jerky movements which thus diagnosed with dystonia- neurological disorder- after getting injected with a seasonal flu shot. After watching this video, you might want to think twice before making any medical decisions

toward your health.

II. Relate to the audience: Everyone wants to protect themselves from being infected with the Influenza virus by seeking the best medication and neglecting the virulent consequences.

III. Credibility: It was already mentioned in the “Attention Getter section”, a story of a disabled woman.

IV. Thesis: The influenza vaccine should be banned due to the causation of Alzheimer, immune dysfunction, and neuron disorders.

V. Preview: First of all, I will be talking about the exposure of flu shot and its connection to Alzheimer’s disease. Then, how the vaccine can affect people of all ages by decreasing their immune system. Finally, some of the neuron-brain disorders can be resulted due to the flu shot.

[Transition: Now we will look at the connection of the flu shot and Alzheimer.]

Body
I. Exposure to vaccines such as flu shot and the subsequent risk of Alzheimer’s disease.

A. The U.S National Library of Health stated that: “there is an association between the exposure to conventional vaccines and risks of Alzheimer’s disease.”
1- The Canadian Study of Health and Aging initiated a study case to their hypothesis and the results were as the followings: 7740 elderlies with a past exposure of flu shots had a dementia risk of 80% than their non-peers.
[Transition: Next, we will talk about the flu shot effects on the immune system.]

II. In the U.S flu shots are suggested for 6 months’ kids and adults over 65, neglecting the virulent consequences:
A. According to the Live Science website, new strains of the vaccines are developed every year to defeat the virus.
1- With every new strain is being developed, a new virus will be subjected to a new genetic mutation to fight this stain in response.
2- By means, the human immune system will be weakened to fight other viruses that have been developing to enter the host, our bodies.
B. The study says: “The rate of hospitalizations for flu was 74.5 per 100,000 people, which is higher than those who were not vaccinated.”
1- This shows that no matter how many vaccines you get; you will have the flu virus along with a weakened immunization.
[Transition: Then, we will go over the connection of the flu shot with neuron-brain diseases.]
III. Guilain- Barre syndrome and Flu Vaccine:
A. GBS is a rare disease that forces the immune system to damage their nerve calls; causing muscle paralysis or weakness.
1- According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention: “In the United States, an estimated 3,000 to 6,000 people develop GBS each year.
2- Also, there is approximately 80-160 cases of GBS each week regardless of vaccination.

This means flu shot should be controlled to diminish this fatal issue.

3- The cause of the GBS is unknown but they have found that Campylobacter is responsible for it and it’s the same bacteria which is used in the flu shot.

B. Currently, CDC and FDA admirations are monitoring the problems flowing vaccination including flu shots by conducting research, and safety awareness to the public.

Conclusion

I. Review main points: I have explained the effects of flu vaccines on increasing Alzheimer’s risk, lowering the immune system, and developing GBS.

II. Restate Thesis: I wish that by showing you all of these consequences will make you avoid the flu shot in the future.

III. Call to Action: In fact, DW news reported that some European countries have already banned the flu shots and the others are working on the safety reasons. Hence, this is why I think that flu shot should be in all health care centers to avoid its developing causations. So, the action starts from you!

IV. Closing Line: At the end we should remember what Gandhi has said: “It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and

silver.”
