Research has shown that working together can help students achieve anything. The Anaheim School district has been struggling in many test scores and overall achievement. There have been many studies shown that students that learn by other students or are being taught by other students have succeeded in the subject that they are being taught. The Anaheim School District has been trying to motivate their students into being successful, but many don’t really pay attention. School isn’t convenient to them at that point. The District had been trying to do whatever it takes to help every student in need. The specific students that are seeking for help, where help is needed. These students need to be self motivated, because if they want to succeed …show more content…
It will always happen though throughout life. Without having to fail you wouldn’t find anything new. Failing would just motivate yourself even more to succeed. That one person will do whatever it takes to succeed. So failing is motivation itself. Such as in baseball, you may strike out the first time, but next time you pump yourself up and swing for the fences the next at bat. Success is a lot sweeter, when you do it on your own. The students may fail one test, but should go home and study for the next one and hopefully pass with flying colors. It all begins with in yourself and how much you love doing the thing your are trying to complete. Such as school, not many people like it, but they know that in the future they are going to benefit themselves. Somethings the students just have to suck it up and wait till the future, because if they choose the education route they will become happy and successful. Many students have been doing that. They know that the future holds better things for them. It is crazy that the students that are playing sports can juggle school and their sport. Some even have jobs so being oriental can beneficial. The students that don’t do sports and don’t have a job shouldn’t have an excuse on why they didn’t succeed. They have all the time after school to study and finish homework. The school even offers after school tutoring if they are having trouble in a certain subject. So, in reality there are only way to fail in school, and that is not asking for help or just not trying hard enough. The self motivation part is a big factor in success. Also, you can make a friend and through that they can callab with each other and share one another 's thoughts on the difficult subject. Like everyone else they don’t want to listen to the teacher and that is where the cellphone issue is in play, they tend to daydream one thing leads to another and they jump on their phone. The students just need a role
...ssional growth.” (Cunningham, 2009). If the research is showing us that students are more motivated and learn best in environments that are rich in autonomy, mastery, and purpose, then I, as a school principal, will need to be an advocate for that to happen in my school. Students who are offered a chance to connect with others in self-directed, meaningful, and rigorous activities are going to be more motivated to be here to learn. Teachers who provide students with this type of learning environment will be more happier and more satisfied, as well. Why? Because it works.
Today, my fellow comrades, I, too, like many others want to take the liberty to talk about the importance of labor unions and the horrendous state under which we work in. As both, a female immigrant and a textile laborer I am grateful that such unions have emerged and have brought the working people together. For far too long we have worked without a decent pay, always settling for what is offered. For far too long we have worked without a decent schedule, always having to work due to fear of losing our jobs. For far too long we have worked without safe nor decent work environments, due to the lack of jobs available and greediness of our employers. J.K. Rowling once said, “We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.” As humans, we are supposedly running the same race. However, we are not all on the same team and our divides seem to only grow stronger. We must regain our unity and strive for human progress and success. The importance of unity and teamwork is presented in the following works: the musical comedy-drama film Drumline (2002) written by Shawn Schepps and Tina Gordon, “Major Crush” (2006) by Jennifer Echols, “Marching Bands Taking Steps to survive” (2006) by Karina Bland, Wikipedia’s article entitled “Marching Bands”, “American Band” (2007) by Kristen Laine, and the Spongebob SquarePants episode Band Geeks written by C.H Greenblatt,
Failure can cause a torrent of mixed emotions and thoughts. One can begin to doubt their motives for even attempting to succeed at a certain task. Some people may choose to give up after failure, but there are a select few who rise up to the occasion and move forward to try and succeed no matter how many tries it takes. By overcoming those difficult moments in life, it gives a person a sense of accomplishment and pride and that alone is a beautiful thing.
How many times have you failed in your life? I bet it’s a lot. Have you ever let that bring you down and stop you from trying? Samuel McChord Crothers once said, “Try as hard as we may for perfection, the net result of our labors is an amazing variety of imperfectness. We are surprised at our own versatility in being able to fail in so many different ways.” We try as hard as we can to be perfect, but we never are, and never will be. We fail so many times, and in so many different ways. We have to grow and learn from our imperfections. This quote from Samuel McChord Crothers can be connected to my life, literature, and in the world and history around us.
After failing if one does fail, it does not mean the world is over. No, they must get back on their own two feet, dust them self off and keep moving forward. It is similar to riding a horse, or a bike, you may fall down a few times; however, after falling down you get right back up and get right back on the horse or bike. Just because you fail at something does not mean you are destined to fail at life, some are not meant to do a certain thing in life, for an instant I am not meant to work a nine to five job in an office looking at computer screen wasting my time away, i'm meant to be outside in nature working with my hands no matter if it welding in my shop at the house, or being on top of a 110 story building welding. To become truly successful one must first find what they are meant to do in life, getting to that point where you can say “this is what i was meant for”, it may take many failures; however, one can’t stop no matter how many failures one my go through, for the goal of success is never out of
In the essay "The right to fail" by William Zinsser he says “ Don't be afraid to fail!” (Zinsser 81-83) failure isn't fatal.Countless people have had a bout with it and come out stronger as a result." Failure can be used as a tool of success because you can learn from your mistakes. Willam defines success differently than the average norm. He believes the younger generation are starting to define there own meaning of success. The dropouts and the hippies just don't buy the old standard of success and neither do I. I think that within your mistakes there is always a chance to get better. In my life there's been times I have messed up but I learned from it like when I came in dead last in a 100 meter dash. I was devastated and quite embarrassed but I didn't let it knock me down and I trained much harder and guess what? I came in second next race. No not first, but I'll get there because my failure became my

Competitive reality shows are so popular because they challenge the contestants. After accepting the challenge the contestants must navigate their way through a myriad of obstacles with one goal in mind...winning. In order to win they have to break out of their comfort zone. We watch in excitement, we want them to win because they are working so hard.
A few other officers and I were interested in taking the upcoming corporal exam. Unfortunately, the exam has been scheduled for a date that I and others will be out of town (for prescheduled family vacations during Spring Break week). Is there any way that we could possibly either test in advance of our departures or when we return from vacation, or the test possibly be moved? If this is not an option at this time, I understand and look forward to taking the test in the near future.
“Educational practice is necessarily based on the assumption that students are willing to engage in educational activities that they will lend their cooperation and support to the process in their education. Students who do not offer such cooperation, who are unmotivated, present significant challenges” (Williams and Ivey, 2001, 75). High school school-children show the most trouble with cooperation and motivation; they only have a few more years of schooling and for some pupils that is the end of their education. That was one of the main reasons why I wanted to observe a high school classroom; the other main reason is because I have actually considered teaching high school grades. I observed Ms. Edith Stone and her Algebra II mathematics classroom.
Failure is apart of life, it can make or break a person. When a person experiences a type of failure it is now up to them to see how they respond. They can choose the high road, and become a stronger person for it. Then they can choose the low road, the easy way out. The easy way out is never a good choice. It can lead only to destruction. The high road is the right choice to take when responding to failure. It will lead down a path of success. Jessica Lahey’s article, “When Success Leads to Failure” is an article that shows how kids are experiencing failure. Lahey says that, “these kids have a fear for failure, and that they have given up natural loves for learning. They are scared of not being successful”(Lahey). The truth is life is hard there will be failure. There is nothing in this world that comes easy to anyone.
Attention This is an idea. It is the source of ambition that dominates the line splitting reality and imagination. However, common ideas can be shared amongst us; we as people must look for the opportunity and seize it before the eyes of the common man so that we are no longer common. Equality is like a diamond, flawless in every way, that is, until we magnify it to see its imperfections that we cannot achieve without something we are being deprived of. Conformity calls to us from every house in the city, but we as a people are being deprived of Freedom, the feeling that I have achieved by achieving the nirvana of the damned by choice, of which I achieved alone and for myself.
Failure happens when something isn't successful. Failure is a thing that all people can learn from. Failures can be used as lessons so that the failure will not be repeated again. One of my greatest failures in life that I've experienced and learned from would be from the time of my first grade year. I didn’t take school seriously when I was in the first grade and made terrible grades. After this failure, it made change the outlook on school and I started trying. I learned that I need to take school serious or else I will do bad in school. This failure lead to success in school and I started making good grades which will help later on in life.
It doesn’t matter if they are failing or success, the only thing matter is how hard people are trying during the process. The value of success will worth and have respect after they walk through failure. It’s important on how people stand up after they failed, not how they failed, because everyone will fail at least one time on their life. A good example of people who fail but they stand up and learn from it is people who play sport. At first time of playing, no one will good at sport. Sometime they make a common mistake when they start play but if they learn from it, they won’t make that same mistake again during the game. To have that success they have to make mistake and fail during the practice so they can learn from it and practice to overcome their failure. But people who never fail when they play, they may make a common mistake on the
