People who try to quit smoking do it without outside support is often referred to quitting cold turkey. This is when people use no aids, therapy, or medicine. Although most people try to quit this way, it is not the most effective or successful method. Some other methods to quit smoking are Behavioral therapy. This involves working with a counselor to find ways not to smoke. Together you'll find your triggers and make a plan to get through the cravings. Nicotine replacement therapy is a substitute for cigarettes, but it won't kick nicotine habit.
