People need to realize that smoking and what comes with smoking does no good and is bad for multiple reasons. Smoking is one of the main causes for death in the world. There are more than 480,000 deaths annually throughout the year. Bringing in what smoking causes to eating places like restaurants or work places is not safe for everyone and is not healthy at all. The government should continue to decide whether or not to pass indoor smoking ban nationwide to protect the people.
Everybody has their different opinions. Therefore the supporters of the federal government have strong and open minded opinions that have anyone thinking twice of what the supporters of the federal government has to say. A nationwide indoor smoking ban is an absolute great idea from the federal government and their supporters. The supporters suggested that smoking ban should be attempted in all public areas, which is not a bad idea. Most Americans have agreed to this nationwide indoor smoking ban. ”Roughly 52% of voters approved the smoking ban in Austin, Texas.” ("A Closer Look”). There are then, those people who care about their revenues and businesses. Reasons to why there are some people, who disagree, are because they feel like smoking bans cost them to lose their revenues. “In the old days a smoker might spend six hours in my bar drinking and talking to friends. Now he's spending four hours in the bar and two hours outside smoking. I can't serve people outside. Every time a smoker goes outside, that's lost revenue." ("Smoking Bans and”). Unemployment could even rise upon these businesses due to the fact of losing some of the customers. “Smoking bans could prove to be disastrous for businesses by chasing away customers and could create unemploymen...

In conclusion, the federal government should pass a nationwide indoor smoking ban. The process of passing it will make some Americans mad and most happy. It will be a hard process, but it just takes patience and time. Smoking from restaurants, bars, etc. could cause death from inhaling or second handing the smoke within our bodies. This should therefore have the federal government decide more on passing the nationwide indoor smoking ban.
